“gotta do it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013 via mobile

a real fun and short trail. Some great views. I would recommend doing the Bee Hive first if your're starting at Sand Beach. Once you get to the top and it's hot you can go down and take a dip in the Bowl to cool off.

“Quite the climb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Beehive is pretty intense. Taking the trailhead from Sand Beach, you quickly start to do some boldering. Within a half mile, you will hit the first of many iron rungs and steps that take you into the climbing portion of the journey. This is only for those very comfortable in their abilities and not afraid of heights. The views are definitely worth the effort. The sense of achievement is pretty cool. Do not take kids or dogs on this.

“Gorgeous views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Short hike up. There are two ways to go. If you are someone who has never hiked, or is afraid of heights, you may NOT want to go the most direct trail, which has iron rails that you have to climb on. It is quite vertical and has some narrow ledges. However, if you are a climber or avid hiker, you will find it super fun. Don't do it when it's raining, windy and cold, like our foolish group.

The views are beautiful.

“A short hike to the summit with some great views along the way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The climb can be daunting for the faint hearted. There are narrow ledges with a free fall if one slips. Get good shoes, a bottle of water and travel in a group

“Fun, somewhat technical hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

We combined several hikes into a loop, starting with the orange and black trail up mt Champlain, the bowl, beehive, and mt gorsham. Beehive had some of the more vertical passages with iron ladders and handrails in places to help you on your way. One of the most fun hikes of our day!
