Have just returned from an overnight stay at The Fishermans Return - and what a great stay we had there. They are completely dog friendly so our pooch had the time of his life with the beach being so close. Our room - was gorgeous with our window looking out to thatched roof cottages which was a delight. We found everything we needed in the room - loads of tea/coffee etc and a whole container of cookies (ashamed to say we devoured them all!!). Dinner in the bar on Saturday evening was most enjoyable - huge portions - and good wine. The highlight of our visit, though was Sunday breakfast, cooked and served by a really pleasant young man - the scambled eggs were to die for - and nothing was too much trouble. There are no rules at The Fishermans Return and we appreciated that so much and the most impressive thing was that there was no charge for the dog, even though there was a proper "doggy blanket" for his use in our room. Nearly forgot to mention that the bathroom was simply beautiful, spotlessly clean with soft towels and a huge walk in shower. All in all the perfect place for a happy, relaxing weekend. I can't wait to go back.
