It took us 6 hours to be able to reach Potipot Gateway. The tip they placed on their website is helpful, as we were able to take the bus that goes straight to Sinabacan Plaza. 5 more minutes via tricycle and we arrived at Potipot Gateway.
We passed thru the hanging bridge, then saw the entrance. The place is full of beautiful trees, swings, and houses. Birds are everywhere, from peacocks to pigeons, to turkeys.
We headed straight to reception area, and after registration, we were led to our room. We occupied the 2nd room of the first house. The room is spacious and clean. Our room also has access to a veranda overlooking a stream. The bed has a beautiful mosquito net hanging above the bed. The only thing that bothered us is that this room shares a bathroom on the third room. We are sort of connected to each others' room thru the hallway leading to the bathroom.
We had our first meal. The food is served hot, and is delicious. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. While waiting for the food, you can walk around the big garden with playgrounds and facilities. There's billiards, table tennis, hockey table, dart, go kart, ktv, etc. The dining area also overlooks the beachfront area.
We decided to sleep early so that we can prepare for the island trip the following day.
We were served breakfast, with a very delicious coffee. We then prepared for our boat ride that will bring us to Potipot Island.
Our lunch was delivered at the island and we ate there. We didn't stay long, and we headed back to mainland to rest and play basketball (there's a basketball court there)
Must-tries are snorkeling, kayaking and banana boat ride.
Given our hassle-free experience, we are surely coming back.
