Owner description: A challenging walk along the South West Coast Path. It is a switchback up and down four hills before returning along a relatively level ridge. It offers great photo opportunities passing some of the geological highlights of the Jurassic Coast. In late Spring and early summer the limestone grassland beside the path is full of rare flowers and clouds of butterflies.

“Beautiful Expedition on a nice sunny day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

great place to enjoy the nature...a lovely beautiful beach with some marvellous rock formation...you can explore the small hills near the beach though it can be bit hard to climb for old people and small kids...there is a small shop for buying food items and other essential things, there is also a pub just near the beach..we travelled from sLondon and took as nearly 3 hrs from there via motorway..

“Stunning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

Having never visited here before it was quite a surprise as to how how stunning it was. It was quite a trek down to durdle door ... having parked outside the camp site but even so was a lovely sunny day so really enjoyable. There are two beaches you can access ... one easier (having steps) than the other. Would be a nice place to while away a day in the sun. On the campsite there are facilities such as a shop, restaurant and toilet facilities but quite a long way from the beach. You are able to buy ice creams and drinks part way down the walk from a mobile van. Will definitely visit again. A cheap day out if you park outside the camp site - otherwise parking quite expensive,

“Amazing views!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Amazing views and beautiful place!
I would recommend to go there in Spring or Summer to stay for a while and chill out. There are nice tourists routes there too.

Will be back there in summer!

“Jurassic delights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Not for the faint hearted! If you have the desire to get you pulse racing, and not just for the views, then take this hike. It is not an easy wlak, some of the ascents are extremely arduous, but the views are most definately worth it.

TIP: If you cannot make such tough inclines, then drive you car (or bus) round the the Durdle Door adventure park. You can park here and then its only a short steady wlak to the magnificent limestone arch that is Durdle Door.

“fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Great place for photos, and dramatic walks, Wear good walking shoes/boots and be prepared for steep steps and inclines. Worth
the effort to get fantastic views and a little peace sitting on a beach.
