“Lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

A warm welcome with a cheerful, quiet, large and very clean room. Breakfast was tasty and kept us going for a long day's walking. The owners also went the extra mile and returned to us some kit we accidentally left behind. Many thanks.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

Stayed for 3 nights in July 2013. Margaret & Mick are lovely hosts, very down to earth and willing to please. You can come and go as you please and no need for keys.
The room was large and the bed very comfortable, we stayed in the Red room which looked out to the side across the garden. Plenty of hanging space and loads of hangers, with shelves for other items. Bedside table each side of the bed with small lamps, small table and two chairs. Hairdryer provided.
Bathroom was small, with a very small sink but an adequate shower. The sink was over a vanity unit that you could use to store your toilet bag and other bathroom items. Complimentary shower gel bottles provided along with soap, tissues and a small mending kit. Towels provided.

Remember this is an individual family home that provides a friendly, warm and relaxed stay. Do not expect to be comparing it to chains of hotels where everything is the same and clinical. It is Dog friendly and you can bring your friend to breakfast, sausage provided!

Breakfast is exceptional, unless you have a big appetite, don't just order the Full English as you might not eat it all. 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 3 bacon, 2 hash brown, tomato, beans, mushrooms, fried slice, black and white pudding. You also have juice and cereal, tea or coffee.

The location is excellent, parking is in the grounds, which are private and not viewed from the road. The B&B is just a short stroll from the Castle Inn that has an exceptional choice of Cider.
The walk to Lulworth Cove is about 15 minutes, don't take the car, walk, it is an enjoyable experience. The walk across the coastal path to Durdle Dor from the Cove will take you about an hour, unless you are super fit, it's all uphill.

We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary whilst there and they made our stay very special by surprising us with a card and a bottle of cold cava at Breakfast.

I strongly recommend this to those travellers that prefer down to earth accommodation rather than fancy hotels.
