What a lovely place. A great deal of thought has been put in to this perfect B and B. Lisa is obviously passionate about organic and/or locally sourced products and this really sells the Dorset area.
We stayed in the Hardy Room which was gorgeous and wouldnt look out of place photographed in the pages of House Beautiful magazine. The room was spotless, the bathroom was even more so...fab Neal's Yard Products that were a treat to use and there was even a basket of other bits and bobs such as face wipes, spare toothpaste, cotton buds and even a couple of paracetamol!
The room had a wonderfully comfy and high bed and the views over the fields were lovely. The tray of tea and coffee was fantastic. Loads of lovely organic and high end tea bags/hot chocolate/coffee and not your usual Costco PG tips and Nescafe. Nice to have real milk (to be found in fridge on landing) and not those hideous UHT mini single portions!
Breakfast was amazing. It has actually inspired me to go out and replicate it at home. Organic products everywhere, linseeds, goji berry cereals etc, agave nectar. I felt like Gwyneth Paltrow by the end of it all!!! I still made room for the cooked breakfast as well and the home made bread as well as the mushrooms were fab.
I really hope this place continues with its high standards. The rooms were decorated so tastefully and i can see that they will probably move on to decorating more public areas next such as the hallways which still look as though they were probably left over from the last owners.
It was such a treat staying here. We actually could only stay one night because it was so booked up and we decided to stay in Lulworth for another night at another B and B and it wasn't anywhere near as good. I just wanted to be back in our lovely room at Bindon Bottom!
Just great. I am going to book my parents in to the same room in October hopefully and i believe that Lisa was thinking of doing some kind of on-line service whereby you could buy some kind of gift token system...a very thoughtful and savvy idea.
Book up now. You will never want to stay anywhere else! Just a shame that Lisa and Clive can't do something with the rest of the "establishments" closer to the Cove which have certainly seen better days!
