Spent a few days here with my wife as part of our honeymoon trip - I'd been with my family a few years before. The location is incredible, with stunning views and lots of great mountain walking within easy reach (even by bus, if you like).
The rooms are simple and rustic in style but perfectly roomy and comfortable, and we had a lovely little balcony and a great bathroom in the "face aux dents" suite. There's a homely living room to relax in with amazing picture windows, games and books.
The demi-pension is strongly recommended - the owners prepare a wonderful three-course meal every night, beautifully cooked and not too heavy, and you won't mind at all that there's no choice. The wines are local and expensive, but very good. They will even prepare picnic lunches for a very reasonable extra charge.
I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. It may seem expensive but you won't need to spend a penny while you're there, and you can experience a very beautiful (and less crowded) part of the Alps in simple comfort while feeling at home and eating well.
