“Charming Pub and wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2012

We were lucky enough to 'find a room at the Inn' and I can honestly say we had a fabulous stay and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The room was amazing and the breakfast superb. I would also like to mention that all of the staff were more than friendly and very helpful regarding everything.
Such an interesting pub and even the locals were welcoming which is no always found!!

I just had a lovely nights stay at The Quarrymans Rest - the food was just brilliant - Donna needs to be on Masterchef as her fishcakes were delicious! Very comfortable bed and the room was lovely. I stayed over for work on my own and they were really friendly and made me feel really welcome. My breakfast was really fantastic - proper food done well - and it really felt that it had been made with love and attention which makes it all the better. Would definitely recommend.

We ate here on Saturday night with two friends. The food was excellent, as was the service.

The restaurant was fully booked, but there was no drop in the waitress service or timing of the food.

Great evening!

We had long been aware of the Quarryman's reputation for wonderful food and finally managed to get there for a mid-week lunch. The food was, quite simply, excellent - the slow-roasted pork was in a class of its own. The service was friendly and attentive and, together with the wonderful food, contributed to a memorable lunch experience. We will definitely be visiting again and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Quarryman's. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed in the Quarrymans over the weekend of 22 October 2011 when attending a wedding at nearby Huntsham Hall. Food was excellent and breakfast is a legend all of its own. Donna didn't bat an eyelid when a New Zealander we had only met the night before tipped up to watch the Rugby World Cup Final (no TV signal at the Hall!) and supplied him and his girlfriend with a full breakfast. Bedroom extremely comfortable and you could just about play a game of squash in the bathroom!
Thank you so much for making us so welcome and giving us a really enjoyable weekend.
Like General Macarthur, we shall return

We stayed for a night in April. Very comfortable and equipped room. Food in restaurant in evening was best we had on this trip. We wish we lived closer as we would use this restaurant more often. Staff very friendly, breakfast was I think the best I ever had. Highly recommended.

We visited the restaurant here after a recommendation and it was simply, wonderful.

Our party of three had an unusual ordering of food (two soups and sandwiches at once) and one ribeye main course for me which was handled well.

The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly to my liking which is quite hard to achieve. The vegetables provided with the steak were beautifully cooked as well; I find many pubs cook carrots too raw for my liking but perfect here, nice to also see sweet potatoes included.

The sandwiches used local bread from the bakers as well as local meats, combining for a delicious sandwich by all accounts. The soup (leak and potatoes) smelt lovely.

The staff and bartender were very friendly and most importantly did not mind at all us bringing our two dogs into the bar area to eat. A rare find of a pub that does very nice food and allows us to eat inside with our dogs.

Overall, a very nice pub and food. It does loose a few points for being a little bit expensive but as always, you get what you pay for! Parking was difficult but we did notice a car park a little distance away from the pub, however we visited in the rain so were lucky to park outside.
