This is a simple place, but don't be fooled. Make a reservation or you won't get a table. The pizza is super, especially if you love true Italian pizza, with fabulous thin crust, great sauce, and not soggy in the middle. The owner is a savvy young woman with some English, and the experience is not easily forgettable. As I'm preparing to go there in awhile, I am getting so hungry while I'm writing this.
Even though this is Italy, finding the right pizza is not always as simple as you might think. This is close enough to Lucca and very close to Borgo or Bagni di Lucca or the towns in between. The house wine is wonderful, the music not too loud but pleasant.
Again, this is bare bones, not fancy but the taste--my favorite is Napoli--with anchovies and capers and tomato sauce and mozzarella--and ask for the topping of arugola--rucola in Italian--is superb...And there are so many choices...
