“Splendid Sunday Lunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2014

Once again a very pleasant Sunday lunch at the Unicorn. A laid back but warm ambiance and super service led professionally and with a certain charm by Chris and his front of house team. His business partner commands the kitchen and we were grateful for some tasty little prawns and steaming moules followed by roasted sirloin of beef with Yorkshires and all the trimmings. Easy on the wallet too. Well done and keep doing what you are doing!

“wonderful sunday lunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

Young, friendly staff serving seriously lovely food. I had the rare roast beef, and the Yorkshire pudding was light and fluffy. Simply delicious lunch and the inn itself is a treasure.

“Lovely walled beer garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

Stopped off for a drink and snack. Really warm welcome from friendly staff. Food looked good, saw a gorgeous bowl of mussels being served! Wish my local was as picturesque. Great place for lunch or a drink.

“Pub and food was good, facilities poor”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

It was a busy night when we were there. Starters were delivered on hot plates where plates used (slate for some dishes) and all good size and very tasty.
Main meals took a while to come as it was heaving and had been advised to order sides of chips by someone who'd been previously to ensure our appetites were met. Steaks and duck were all well received. Food was presented well. and the portion sizes were good.
Staff were very friendly and informative. Atmosphere was good, despite being full everyone could still enjoy a conversation without having to share the next door tables too.
The let down was the trip to the loos and the facilities themselves which was shabby. Dancing with the staff on the way to the kitchen also feels like an accident waiting to happen.

“Great pub/ restaurant but B&B needs looking into”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

Food & atmosphere fantastic. We felt let down with the bed & breakfast, room was cold, we asked for heating to be put on but it wasn't during our stay. Toilet didn't flush !!! Toilet roll holder was broken and bin in bathroom all dented as though someone had bashed it a few times. Breakfast was non existent !!! . Manager was not to be seen, apparently his weekend off.
We love Deddington , but will stay in another B & B next time.
