“What a beautiful place to spend a few relaxing days!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2009

This resort is just beautiful!! It was perfect for the two of us who just needed a couple of relaxing days away from the city to relax and enjoy ourselves. The studio apartment we stayed in was lovely, it was clean, modern and had everything we needed including a small kitchenette where we were able to cook some of our own meals. I was was also really impressed on the emphasis they put on preserving the surrounding environment as it is situated in a nature reserve. The infinity pool was stunning with amazing views of the western australian coast line!! I thoroughly recommend staying there, we plan to return again next year.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2009

We stayed here for 2 nights around Christmas, 2008.

Check in was quick, although a bit brusque (a repeating theme with the front desk). Since you cannot park your car next to the units, they come around with little carts to take your luggage to the rooms.

The beach is easily accessible, a short walk on the boardwalk gets you there. It is a gorgeous, large beach with crystal clear water. But the water is not warm, and there is serious wind on the beach that blows fine sand over everything. We didn't care too much, but that could get annoying.

The rooms are a decent size, with a large bathroom with walk-in shower and separate tub.

The lounge has some decent wines by the glass, but if you want you can also BYOB for a corkage fee. This is useful if you tour the area and purchase some wine you are dying to taste. For dinner, the restaurant was ok, but not great. The wait-staff were all very friendly, interestingly they seemed to be from all over the world.

When we asked the front desk about reservations for lunch at one of the wineries, they looked it up and gave us the phone number (but they didn't call, kind of strange).

Checkout was bizarre. A checkout time of 10 AM is ridiculously early. The computers were also down for us and we got a bill in the mail later (although ours seemed correct).

Great location, modern hotel with private villas

Property directly on beach (white sand and calm water)

Fantastic pool overlooking beach

Service was fantastic and very accomodating

Easy access to surrounding area and attractions

Although resturant is very nice would recommend trying other options in the area

Really lovely resort in a stunning location 1 min walk down to white sand and turq sea.
Studio's are modern, well eqipped (2 T.V's!), and spacious. The bathrooms are great, with a huge bath and lovely smelling toiletries.
The restaurant was pricey but the food excellent.
Service on the whole was quite good although the front desk staff weren't so hot. The systems seem to go down at 10am every morning which means checking out is difficult! Our final bill was incorrect (+£500) but couldn't be checked and rectified without the system so we asked for them to call and confirm correct balance when the systems were back up. When I called 8 hours later the guy told me he'd have to call me back as he was on his own and didn't have time to check. We're still waiting for the call!
Despite this our stay was very relaxing and we would definitely come back.
Just a note on the flies - yes there were quite a few especially around the pool so my advice would be to head to the beach where the wind seems to put them off!

Our stay at Bunker Bay was long awaited and we were a tad concerned that our expectations might be too high. But Quay West Bunker Bay delivered. A spacious room (even though it was the studio), friendly staff, stylish design and landscaping. Even thought there were many rooms in a small area there was plenty of privacy. A few families around - who looked like they were having a good time - but didn't manage to encroach on ours with squealing ;) Food at the restaurant was typical 4/5 star cuisine. Nothing to move you, but it was the pool and beach we were there for. The takeaway coffees first thing in the morning were up to spec - and we are a hard to please couple in this department.

Overall - really well done. Would recommend it to friends and family, and would return if we ever made it back over to WA.

Beautiful hotel. We arrived in gorgeous afternoon and the water color just took our breath aways. The hotel service does have problems like keycard door did not opened, the safe was already lock and nobody was sent to help us even if we called. I believe the staff friendly but under trained as they used temps.

I would recommend it as the room are huge and even the garden views impressed my wife. The hotel has lots of birds flying around and the bunker bay beach is one of the most beautiful I've seen. We even saw a dolphin while eating breakfast. Please be aware that there are lots of children in the pool area.

I would go back if given the chance.

We stayed at this resort for 3 nights in December 2008 to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Our room was very nice and spacious with a great little kitchen.
The bathroom was amazing with a huge bath.
The resort is located at the edge of a beautiful beach or you can use the heated pool.

We did not have any spa treatments as they were very over priced.

My only complaint is that we tried to watch an inhouse movie but the service was not working. We were also overcharged on our bill for some drinks from the bar that we did not order. This was reversed when we explained the mistake.

Overall we had a fantastic time at this hotel and cant wait to go back next time.
