We were staying with my Cousin in Cobble Hill on a Canada reunion trip. He took us to the CobbleHill for a bite to eat and a quick drink.
Well, the place was very friendly, clean and just the sort of place you could put the world to rights over a few beers (or English Cider in my case). It was quite empty when we went in (middle afternoon) and was full of space for when its busy. Staff were excellent and very attentive.
Food was really good and generally focussed on pub grub with Specials seemingly every day. Sundays there's a Roast and I'd suggest you book for lunch.
Excellent Pub fulfilling most of the male requirements, Good Food, Assorted good ales (Try the Pale Ale), and no mobile phone signal! For the ladies, all the same, no washing up, nice clean loo's, and keeping an eye of the old man (me!)
Anyway, great for families too with a good selection of food for all ages. Plus space to have some privacy with lively kids!
I believe they do entertainment as well, but wasn't there for that. I'm back to Canada and Cousins next year, and the CobbleHill will have more time spent in it.
As an aside they have free WiFi and the password is "cobblehill"
