My husband and I recently had lunch at this winery after driving past the day prior and commenting on how nice it looked. You have to book if you want to sit on the 'lawn' area, which has the best views over the vines and to the mountains beyond.
We were a little early so had a wine tasting first; was not overly fussed with the wines (especially as we had found some great wines the day before). However, the food was really, really good and sitting out on a private table on the lawn was just idyllic. We shared some housemade pumpkin bread with butter (the butter was a bit hard; our only complaint!!) and I had a beetroot and feta salad with walnuts and my husband had an entree size Japanese tataki beef (it was quite small, but very tasty). I was then tempted by a pannacotta for dessert and was assured by the waitress that it was amazing - and it was.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to visitors, but not necessarily the wines.
