Nice room with almost everything you might need and nice and helpful staff too, even at 05:00. Breakfast very basic and very boring. Best to eat out, turn left from the hotel and eat at Moe Cherry, 10 minutes walk.

We booked this hotel through Booking.com. The entrance and the exterior of the hotel look promising. However, the rooms are very small and do not smell fresh. The bathroom was anything but pleasant to look at and very small. There is no WiFi in the hotel (not in the rooms and not in the lobby). As this hotel did not meet our expectations, we have left immediately this hotel and booked a room in another hotel.

I'm a little puzzled by some of the reviews here. To get to Mrauk U pretty much requires 6-10 hours on a boat or bus. After such a journey, I didn't expect to find blazing fast internet or even 24 hour electricity.

What I did expect was delivered. Clean rooms and customer service delivered with a genuine smile. I arrived at the hotel close to midnight after a 7 hour boat ride. First thing they asked me was if I had eaten and if I wanted dinner. Convenient and inexpensive laundry services and bike rentals are on the premises. When I was looking to get an early start they were happy to box a breakfast for me. Sittaung temple is about an 8 minute walk.

This hotel had everything I expected. Internet was mostly down but I think that depends on satellite coverage and is out of their control. There were certain times of day it worked. The power went out once in the afternoon, but they fired up the generator on request. My air conditioner worked all night, unlike the hotel my friends were staying in down the road.

I would definitely stay here again. Just not sure I'll ever be in Mrauk U again.

Nawarat... what shall I say, for Mrauk U standards great, but it's non reliable... ok, nice rooms, nice bathroom, Wifi, airco.... IF it works... That's the thing about this hotel: if it works... electricity shortage is common in Myanmar, but even when they had backup generators, nobody would actually turn them on when all went dark... Hot watter... one day yes, the next day no.... never really figured out what the decision rule on "hot water " was :)...
It's def. one of the better places to stay over there... but they could learn to be a bit more proactive about turning backup generators on, ensure hot water etc...
