As regular Phuket visitors we eagerly anticipated the opening of this Chinese restaurant near our villa. What we encountered however was food so poor I think we will not even give the Northern Chinese a second chance. The courtyard area has unappetising poster style displays of the courses, a la a cheap takeaway restaurant back home. Expensively priced courses were ordered and arrived in stages. The first course - Kung po chicken - luke warm and greasy. The sizzling beef was like old boot, greasy and doused in an ill defined sauce. To cap it all the prawns in batter arrived with the batter so greasy the prawns slid out on the chopsticks leaving an amorphous mound of yellow greasy gew to content with. Fried rice was OK - but just OK. I think the owner may be Russian so this could be Russian-Chinese style. If so leave it in Vladivostock and let's get a half decent Chinese in Chalong.
