“Heavenly stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

We booked the hotel by offical website, they provide variety room options and bargin price, the location at quiet hillside , resort well facilited, nice food in restaurant, very friendly staffs, our package included 90mins spa treatment for couple, we recieved heavely service, our resort located in hilltop, fantastic view and inroom decoration, cozy funitured with nice private pool, as we celebrated our anniversary, they provide a wonderful candle light dinner with glass of wine and flower tubebath, incredible experience, this resort is deserved high marks and high rate in reviews. Beaches closeby , and resort provide transport transfer, just the timetable not so often. Just we lost the iphone in beach, we would appreciate if the resort can provide an on site desktop at libaray.Anyway, it's a good choice for real relaxing vacation.

Spent a week here with my wife and 4 year old daughter - had a great time, unwound. VZ is really good - super clean, very relaxing with excellent service/staff. It deserves its good reputation. Beach foray was good, city mall - well, its a city mall.

The cookery class was excellent and my wife loved it. Full marks to chef teaching. Also the little local market was superb, worth a 2 hour trip. We had a super time and fully recommend VZ. My daughter was the only kid there, but loved the greenery and swimming in both the main and private villa pools.

Room Tip: private villas with pools superb

We have stayed in VZ for four days recently, I would conclude this journey is "Nice" but can be perfect if there are some minor points being improved.
I have booked this trip a month ago and I have read from tripadvisor that a higher floor will have a better view, i.e. room no. starting with 4, thus I sent a request to the resort, and they replied that they would try their best for the arrangement. However, when I got to check in, I discovered I only granted a room in the third row, i.e. not the fourth row as I requested. And they explained that the fourth row villa are N/A, however as from my observation, they are empty. Anyway this won't ruin my mood of holiday too much, since the room they granted me has good view too.
And other points about the resort is near to perfect, I especially love the "relaxing" atomosphere created inside the whole resort, whenever you get into it, you really won't want to get out.
The pool inside the room is wonderful, not too large but enough for us to have some swimming.
The room is very clean, and their pest control was quite good, at least inside the sleeping room, you won't find any insect, however you will find some of them on the lower desk which will not allow you stay in front of your pool during the night time.
The staffs around the whole resort are attentive, and the view of the resturant is good, and I can really found some DVD that I am really interested in the library, that adds a lot of marks.

However, I think that the Zense Spa is a bit over-priced, we have spent about 10,000 THB for two people, which I would expect a better quality of it.

Room Tip: Room 306 has no tree obstructions hence you can have the spectucular view of the Chalong Bay

We had very high expectations after reading all the reviews and booked 3 nights in the private pool villa, but in the end we were slightly underwhelmed. Service was attentive and the check in area is beautifully decorated with a nice view.

We were driven down the hill to our villa, but even though it's very spacious, the layout was a bit strange with a very large open kitchen without any cutlery or dishes and a sort of a bar area with the sofa pushed against it. It reminded me of some sort of timeshare condo instead of a luxury hotel. The bedroom area is more stylish with a large open bathroom with double sinks. Compared to some other similar resorts we've stayed in we expected something more stylish. It was certainly nice and comfortable, but not amazing. The air conditioning was rather noisy as well.

Our main disappointment was the lack of privacy. Next to the outside doorway you can look straight into the bedroom, so that anyone walking along the path could look inside. We ended up keeping the curtains closed, which defeats the purpose of a "private" villa. You could also look down into the pool area from the raised main path so we could not relax in the pool without people walking by and looking into the terrace area. This would probably be less of a problem for the other villas, so we were unlucky to have the location at the entry to the parking area.

We rented a car and it was possible to park on the private road which was very convenient.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on christmas eve and was pleasantly surprised that we could order a la carte and not obliged to take the christmas dinner as at many other hotels in Thailand. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Service was good also. We had breakfast had the same restaurant, but found the buffet rather simple and nothing like the selection at the Renaissance where we stayed before. I missed having fresh juice and even the asian selections were just ok.There was little variation the three days we were there, so it was fine for a light meal but nothing to look forward to.

There is a book and dvd library which we enjoyed, although some of the dvds are obviously pirated copies. Ok for Thailand but not really fitting for a five star resort... We considered using the spa, but the location next to the main parking wasn't particularly enticing and we preferred to go to the beach instead.

Upon check out they confirmed if we had not left anything in the room, and they found a battery charger for my camera that I had left plugged in. That left a good last impression, so the service is definitely top notch. Too bad that our private villa was anything but.

Room Tip: Ask for a private room which can not be seen from the path

Stayed for 5 nights over new year in a deluxe pool villa which is lower down the hill than the grand pool villas, so not wonderful views. Also, they are a little way from the main pool and reception down a road and up another which seemed very odd but buggies were always available to take us up and down for meals. Also, lots of steps to our room.

We took advantage of the free daily shuttle to a nearby modern shopping centre and there is also one to a local beach. We hired the hotel driver BHT 700 for a few hours to take us to the big Buddha and local temples and the driver 'Pat' was great - good driver, explained about the temples and waited while we looked around without rushing us at all and even met us with umbrellas when it looked like it might rain.

The jungle insects are extremely loud every evening but you do get use to it.

We tried to do an elephant safari one day but they were booked up, so reserve in advance if interested.

Our room was gorgeous! Very high standard and a luxurious bathroom. Our private pool was cool, but it was very hot and humid so very refreshing. The hotel pool was great and drinks could be ordered using a phone. Happy hour cocktails twice a day were great - as were all the meals we had at the hotel, in the lovely roof top restaurant. The deserts were delightful!

We felt that 5 nights may have been slightly too long a stay, but only because the resort is a little remote but if you want to chill out and relax in a quiet location while being pampered, this is the place for you.

The staff were all lovely, especially the manager who worked tirelessly while we were there and especially on New Year's Eve. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

We stayed at Villa Zolitude for 3 nights from 2nd-5th January 2013 as part of our honeymoon trip. Everything about the hotel was absolutely perfect! We had the most amazing room (huge!) with outside decking and a pool. Everything (including the outside area) was spotlessly clean and beautiful. One day when we were sunbathing we saw them cleaning our room and it took a team of 3 of them almost 45 minutes – this shows incredible attention to detail and it was sparkling by the end.

The hotel restaurant is lovely too – great, fresh food, reasonable prices and attentive service.

The reception (and indeed all) the staff are some of the friendliest, most helpful people we have ever met. My wife had bad insect bites one night (from a dinner out, not the hotel) and the hotel reception ran around trying to find a pot of tiger balm which really helped. The hotel manager – Bus – is absolutely incredible and goes out of his way to ensure everyone is having a nice time. One night we wanted to go to some shops (about 20 minutes away) and on his hour break he offered to drive us there himself! He is a real credit to the hotel.

Overall, we had the most amazing, relaxing, enjoyable 3 days at the hotel and would 100% recommend it – it is just perfect!!
