I’ve been looking around for other trips that cater for disabled people and found that River Rover is the only one so I went again, this time I went on the 'Hidden Secrets of Maphrao Bay' trip, we went around Cape Panwa and between the two Thapoe Islands where the Hornbills nest and then across Phuket Bay into the Thai Chin Canal through the biggest Asian Port on Phuket then under the bridge which connects Phuket and Siri Island and through Thai Villages and the mangrove forest, we saw loads of birds, I would think this trip would be great for twitters. Then across Maphrao Bay to the floating restaurants, we had a sumptuous meal of lobsters which they keep in nets at the restaurant, it's a wonderful place to visit. After that we had a choice of returning home by taxi or carrying on to Rang Island and return to Chalong. We opted to go via Rang Island with it's lovely beaches for swimming and kayaking, then the gentle cruise back to Ao Chalong, wonderful day had by all. I should like to mention to those who are disabled, like me, that Captain Gordon and his good lady, Luck, were most helpful and made everything easy and comfortable. There was room for a wheelchair or two, and the toilet was big enough to use either alone, or with a helper if necessary, fresh water, soap, towels etc. which were fine. Getting on and off the boat was made easy and comfortable, well arranged – thank you all.
