“Gooood food ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner the four of us. The pizza was great so was the chicken the salads and the spaghetti. But most of all the owner and his staff served us so nicely with a big smile. Breakfast was also good and the comfortable in reasonable price.

Stayed September 2013

Second stay at this hotel which is the only one in the old historic town of bronte.went back to learn about my grandfathers home town of this old town pistachio capital of the world..the hotlel is clean and easy to get to we'll signposted..the beds are terrible...please upgrade to mattresses and box springs very uncomfortable...otherwise not bad...skip the food and venture to town center..found great restraunts there. Easy access to etna and castle Nelson..please get new beds or else I will look into the nearby bed and breakfast

Room Tip: Ask for rom with new mattreses

Misled by guide book into believing that Bronte was a picturesque town - in reality it is unattractive, dirty, unfriendly and chaotic with few choices for an overnight stay, hence ended up at Parco dell'Etna. For a 3 bedded room (actually double bed and bunk beds) and breakfast we were charged 100 euros. It was clean but very shabby, badly in need of re-decoration. Furniture very old - the most uncomfortable and rickity beds we have ever had the misfortune to sleep in (although no-one really got much sleep as the beds squeaked and creaked at the slightest movement). Room very small and felt like a prison cell, only two towels provided, ancient TV; all of these minor points would have been acceptable if only we had been able to sleep.
The location (near the station on the edge of town) meant it wasn't a pleasant walk into town in the evening so we ate in the hotel. The restaurant was busy with local people which was a good sign; the food was good enough but not outstanding, service very slow. Breakfast was adecuate - again nothing to rave about. Having not been to Sicily before, can only assume that their standards are a lot lower than the rest of Italy.
