We were at another resort, but decided to extend our stay here in Bali for another night and searched for something reasonably priced; We found this resort. We read all the Tripadvisor reviews, and thought we knew what were getting into. We thought we were getting an unfinished 5-star resort at a bargain price, how wrong we were!
It is a VERY SMALL property, although location for ocean view and sunset were good. One side to the other side of the property is a 5-minute walk.
The ocean view with waves are good, but NOT a beach you want to see or walk along. It is a MUD beach, no sand whatsoever. It looks like a swamp to be honest.
For size, it's very decent and spacious (we booked an ocean view suite on the 4th floor). Interior decor is horrible with exception to the king size bed which was comfortable. The L-shaped couch was of really poor quality, less than what I would expect to buy from Ikea. The jacuzzi would have been nice if it had some privacy, but its on the balcony without anything for you to hide when you're bathing. It's a pretty open area.
In Room Condiments
NO toothbrush. I'm going to ask hotel staff now, but this is something that should not be missed. The Nespresso coffee machine is okay, but in the Box it only had 2 packs when there are holes for 4. Then it comes with a note saying if you want more, it's going to cost 25k IDR. Only two tea bags. C'mon, it's supposed to be a 5-star resort, you want to charge $1000/night when it's fully ready and you want to cheap out on a packet of Nespresso and Tea bags?!?!
WOW are they expensive. We came from St Regis and Ayana, and they're already supposed to be expensive, but this place wants more $$ than them, roughly 30% more, but give you less food and at lower quality. They also really don't give you too much of a choice for food either, there is absolutely no restaurants nearby.
There was only one restaurant open, and the Japanese restaurant only opens on weekdays and on evenings?!
I've read on previous reports and wanted to make my own judgement on this place. I gotta tell you, don't book your trip here. For 35% less, I could have booked at Courtyard Marriott at Jimbaran.
I'm sure the management staff will respond to this saying "I'm sorry for your bad experience, we are not yet fully open, blah blah blah....". Honestly, you ARE open, and the rooms that are supposed to be 100% ready-to-go, are NOT ready. Staffing is NOT ready, quality of your building construction is NOT ready. The building feels very cheap.
