This was my second time visit to Masinagudi and my first time stay in Safari Land Farm & Guest House. The resort is in Masinagudi, unfortunately when you search for Masinagudi Hotels in Trip Advisor the name of this Resort doesn't pop up because it is parked under the Ooty Hotels. I was initially trying to book another hotel but all of them were filled, last minute by chance I found their website and booked this resort.
I was not able to transfer amount bcoz of the cut of 6pm timings but still Mr. Ali confirmed my bookings without a payment in advance.. I stayed for 2 nights, One night in the Deluxe cottage and the other day in the Tree house.. I interacted with Mr. Ali who was very good in his co-ordination. The deluxe rooms are good and cost effective, The tree house is expensive but worth every penny you pay. The tree house experience was the best part though I did not get the tree house which I was looking for, However the one which I stayed served the purpose. The resort is quiet a big place, you can have a small walk. The play area is neatly maintained, I played carom, chess, table tennis etc for a while. There was camp fire organized every night and they came to the room every day and personally invited/informed us about the campfire.. I saw a few animals within the property Malabar Squirrel and a Mongoose running for its life, pleasant sounds of the bird chirping..
Now lets come to the most important part, We are all here on this planet basically to live and to survive we need to eat. I have a good appetite, I generally eat more than a normal individual, nothing wrong in that. We paid a good amount for a full day meal 1000Rs per person for a single day. In Bangalore there are many restaurants which will fill your stomach thrice for half this amount, I had no issues with the 1000rs, I was happy paying it. There was one weird guy who was incharge of the hotel, food.. I had a nice lunch and dinner the first day as I traveled non stop from Bangalore and had a light breakfast. The next day when I went to have lunch the guy passes a comment straight on my face that before you leave the resort I think you will put on 5kgs. That was rude & Y the hell was I paying 1000rs? to go hungry? To add/rub salt to injury he also told that u always come first for lunch and dinner. The guy was a senior citizen if not i'ldve taken him for a ride.
I could have easily given a zero or a one star for the resort, for the way the guy treated me, But Y should I blame the Resort on a whole for one man's mistake. Anyways if the resort people do read this comment please do teach some manner to that person.. In the end I also tipped 500rs to the same guy TIPS (Try to Improve your Prompt Service) is what I meant.. On the Whole the resort is lovely amidst the wild, perfect place for a weekend getaway. Make sure you drive through Moyar, you can find a lot of wild animals.
I would definitely recommend anyone to stay in this resort, I will visit again for sure.
