“Great place to enjoy Phuket but also to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Based on the Tripadvisor ratings, I've decided to stay with my grilfriend at the Embassy Resort for 3 nights and continue our travel afterwards to Malaysia.

At the end, Phuket, Patong and all the other crowed and touristic places were nothing to me but because of the great service, food and the nice and detailed making of the Resort itself, stay was still something we won't forget.
Luckily we got an upgrade for free so we've stayed in one of the bungalows directly in front of the pool.

Plus
- Close to Patong
- Superb food
- Excellent
service
- spacious and detailed rooms

Minus
- could be noisy because of the constructin site next to the hotel
- close to one of the main roads (getting more quiet during the night)
- bad luck: the water supply has been replaced during our stay so we had for 3 hours no water.mafter it has been switched on again, my girlfriend went to have a shower. After having all the shampoo on her, water stopped again so I've asked finally to get bottled water for finishing the shower :)

Hi Thanks for taking the time to write a review for your stay. Yes the water supply replacement took far longer than promised by the contractor and for that I really apologize. When we arranged for the work to be done we were told three hours but unfortunately took nearer five, On the positive side we now have crystal clear water, very rare to have here on Phuket Island. The construction of the structure nearby is now finished, so noise now at a minimum. We have double glazed the windows in the apartments that were noisy and have an agreement with the contractor that no noise before 10am will occur. Thank you also for your comments on our restaurant, rooms and pool area, all our staff really work hard to ensure our guests have a good time while here at Royal Embassy

We stayed 2 weeks in Royal Embassy with family 7 & 9 year old boys. Service was fantastic, food in a embassys restaurant was excellent and our room was spaceous and really close to the pool. The best thing in this place is the personal service from all employees in embassy. If there was a little bit noice from the constructions and in our room you could see some small details to be repaired, the service, beautiful area, food and the staff was so good that little things didn´t bother us. Really safe and friendly place to stay with kids. If you ever catch a fish during your holiday, bring your catch to the embassys Cook, you won´t be disappointed. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you all!

Room Tip: For families the choice with two bedroom, two bathroom, kitchen and living room was really nice.

It was great to have you as our guests and really pleased you enjoyed your stay. Have passed on your message to all our staff, the chef in particular was very happy you liked how he cooked your fresh fish. It was a real pleasure to have you and your children as our guests and would love to see you again one day

Royal Embassy is a very good hotel in Kamala with great value for money. Very picturusque with good service and quite cleen. Pool is fabulous and the rooms are big with many comforts. You can stay in the balcony or in the place outside your room to relax and had a view in the pool, when the weather is good.

I stayed here for 7 nights with my girlfriend and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in the bungalows which were very well presented, clean and nicely decorated. The staff were so courteous and helpful, really take pride in their work. Phil and his wife were very helpful, recommending local restaurants and even ringing the restaurant to book a waterside table and dropping us off for dinner, absolutely great service. Also, the French man (sorry I can't remember his name) was extremely good to us. He was very apologetic about a slight error they made on our tab, I lost my phone on one of the tours and he rang the company to follow up to see if they found it. This place really made our holiday. It was so relaxing. Yes there was some construction nearby but we didn't hear a thing at night/early morning. It's in a pretty good location too, walking distance to Kamala and only a short taxi ride (about 300 - 350 bht) to Patong for the party scene if you want. Personally, I prefered Kamala to the noisy in your face Patong and if you decide on Kamala, I'd seriously consider staying here.

Without a doubt Royal embassy is a beautiful, great value resort! However... when we were staying there was a lot of noise from surrounding construction sites. Because of this noise we were considering moving, however after looking at other nearby hotels & resorts we decided to stay as Royal embassy is so lovely & good value for money.
We stayed in a Bungalow which was spacious & clean. The grounds are green & gorgeous, complete with 2 pools & a very cute bunny. It often felt like we had a pool to ourselves! Henri, Phil & staff are very friendly & helpful & they care about their guests.
The resort restaurant is yummy & there is also lots of restaurants down the road. You can hire a motorbike to get around easily.
I hope the construction finishes soon & then Royal embassy will be perfection!

Thank you for your review. Yes the construction next door has been a problem, we have done our best to ensure our guests inconvenience is kept to a minimum, with agreements with the building company that no noisy work is started before 10am and as you will know, little or no noise is heard from the pool area. On a positive note, all the structure is now finished, so much more peaceful from now on. We have also recently double glassed most of the apartment windows that face the building site so little or no noise is heard.. Thank you for your review it was nice to meet you and have you stay with us Regards Phil Seal Managing Director

We went to royal embassy resort&spa kamala after spending 3 nights in Bangkok and this place was amazing. We were welcomed on arrival by owner phil and wife Ari and brought us to our beautiful bungalow which was lovely inside and nice and clean as it was our honeymoon Ari had placed beautiful rose petals on our four poster bed. We found this place so peaceful and relaxing with extremely attentive and pleasant owners and staff who made us so welcome all the time and a massive thanks to phil and Ari for taking us to Rawai where we had the most amazing fresh seafood sitting right by the sea. We also ate most nights in royal embassy and their food every night was absolutely fantastic could not fault it in any way at all and amazing prices. Good drink prices aswell and Ari makes the best long island ice tea hehe!! Could not have asked for nicer people who made our stay a truly memorable time. Thanks guys.

We visited The Royal Embassy and originally intended on staying for 5 nights, but ended up staying for a further 4 nights after loving this type of accommodation. The Bungalows were lovely and the pools to match. The good thing being there are two pools, one intended for children leaving the other to the adults most of the time.

The staff were more than helpful in every way, helping us get to the Famous vegetarian festival a the right time and location which made our day. We also did the Kayaking trip organised through the hotel which was a great day.

We only had breakfast and bar snacks during the day but were more than happy with the standard of food. The price was also very reasonable.

The only negative issue I must raise is the major security issue which occurred during our stay. Phil the manager assured me he was going to sort the situation out and I have no reason to disbelieve him. Make sure you use the safes provided...

But after all myself and my wife had a lovely stay at the Embassy Resort,

Thanks to all the staff....

Room Tip: Bungalow 1 had a great position looking straight across the pools, but to be honest 1,2 & 3 woul...
