Thank you Chris for making us so welcome - we enjoyed your company and hope to be back for more of the same before too long. Right from the start Chris was extremely helpful and accommodating and made us feel completely at ease. Our boys loved Polly and Zip - lovely relaxed and gentle dogs. Chris has a really good eye for detail and the whole house was full of lovely things. A perfect stay - we just wish it had been for longer. Many many thanks - The Castles

I stayed at Combe House for two nights for a weekend break and it more than lived up to expectations. Combe House is set in a delightful little village with a number of lovely walks close by. The house itself is a charming bed and breakfast, thoughtfully refurbished, with excellent facilities. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with top class showers. Host Chris puts you at ease from the off with her relaxed, welcoming manner and offers great knowledge of the local area. Breakfast of course, is second to none. I will be returning soon!

We stayed at Combe house for two nights on a family occasion. Chris gave us a warm welcome on arrival and showed us to our rooms. All three rooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very tasty, and we all felt at home as we relaxed at the breakfast table. We stayed here as we were going to river cottage - a 20 min taxi ride away. I would highly recommend chris's b&b.

Chris, the hostess at Combe House B & B, is a former farm wife who brings the hospitality and great, fresh cooking of the farm to this charming B & B. We were on a research trip to Colyton and were delighted with the spotless room and up-to-date and equally spotless bathroom. Chris went out of her way to make sure we could print out our tickets to the National Archives the next day--we ended up meeting a few of her friends and using their printer, and were treated like extended family by all. Colyton itself is an archetypical English village, dominated by the church with winding, hilly streets and a cemetery overlooking the vale. I have the highest recommendation for Chris and her establishment.

We really enjoyed our 3 night's stay here in July. When we first got there we had just arrived from a flight to Exeter from the Algarve in Portugal and were made most welcome by a cuppa and a taste of Chris's home made cake to help us feel at home instantly.
The breakfasts were superb and we were able to come and go as we pleased during our stay which was to visit relatives in the area. Her helpful advice relating to the route for our car hire journey to our next destiination at the end of our stay was also appreciated - however exceptionally flooded side roads meant we had to remain on main roads in the event as we saw several other cars had become flooded and broken down. Our bedroom was very comfortable with ensuite facilities.

Room Tip: All the rooms appear to be very good and inviting.

Found this B & B by chance on the website, excellent accommodation could not fault it at all. Chris the owner, could not do enough for you, lots of owners could benefit from the attention that Chris provides to all guests, second to none. Breakfasts were first class, plenty of fresh fruit, cereal and of course her excellent cooked breakfasts using local produce, nothing was too much trouble and very clean and homely. Definitely visit again, know that Coombe House is fairly new to the B & B market but would suggest you get there sooner than later as it will take off!! Well done Chris look forward to seeing you again soon Roger & Sue

Room Tip: The Green Room has king size bed and walk in shower but all rooms have large beds and good showers

Stayed here for two nights this summer.

The perfect B & B - and the perfect host (Chris). Highly recommended. Relaxed and peaceful atmosphere; very comfortable; clean and tidy throughout; excellent healthy breakfasts for all tastes (incl. vegetarian); interesting old Listed building with a nice garden in heart of quiet Colyton village (tiny town?). Colyton is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and close to beaches, small seaside towns (incl. Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth), SW Coastpath, National Trust properties and gardens (and many other gardens and places of interest). Easily accessible by road. The nearest railway station is Axminster approx 5 miles to NE (Exeter / Salisbury / London Waterloo main line).
