We visited this restaurant for a second time, having dined there twelve months previously. I am sorry to say that we will not be coming again unless we hear better reports. The restaurant is only half the size it used to be. The food is still very good and there are various menus to choose from. The twice we have eaten, the majority of other diners are English, and some very loud! The wine list does not have a house wine which I always like to see, and the cheapest wine was over 20 euros per bottle, from a local chateau which we know sells it for under 3 euros, and anyway the restauarnt was out of stock. My wife had a very nice glass of dry white wine for her aperitif so we enquired where that wine was on the list. The waiter said that it was only for sale by the glass. Since there was not a dry white on the list, my wife ordered more of the same by the glass. The waiter brought the bottle in, poured it out and left, taking the bottle away with him, how odd! We were a table of four and there was a candlestick alight in the centre of the table. We moved it to the side as we could not see each other very well through the candles. The waiter came and took it away even though we asked for it to be left. The table was then quite dark for the evening. The room would also benefit from some background music. We had really looked forward to going here but were very disapointed.
