“Excellent for a break!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

Drove down with the family for an extended weekend break. Check in was smooth and straight forward and before we could finish the welcome drink the keys were handed over. The resort is clean and rooms are basic but sufficiently large with a balcony, overlooking the pool in our case. The property does not adjoin the beach but they do have an access through another piece of un-built land they own facing the sea which offers private access. Its a five minute walk away. The beach is spotlessly clean and secluded with very few people around. There are beach activities run by the locals which is great for the kids. We had a wonderful relaxing time. The food was better than expected and offers a good spread. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would go again!

Room Tip: The standard rooms are good enough for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids with the sofa-bed.

I had gone to Kashid with my office colleagues for an offsite strategy meet.
We had stayed at the Prakruti Resorts. the resort is very beautiful with lots of greenery. We had booked two duplex cottages for ourselves. All the rooms were very spacious and clean, equipped with satellite TV.
it also has banquet halls for meetings and presentations etc. The food there was excellent and delicious.
Time spent in he pool during the evening was something to remember.
The highlight of the stay wast the trip to its private beach on a bullock cart.
We all really loved the ride and then the white sand welcomed us to the famous Kashid beach.
There were all kinds of water sports options along with various food stalls. Since it was one of the private parts of the beach, there wasn't much crowd and we all had the long stretch of white sand and sea to ourselves.
All in all, a great stay and a great beach.

Room Tip: Try the sea food there.

Its a vast resort with multitude of rooms and bungalows. We stayed in a room - the advantage is the rooms are closer to the pool, restaurant (where all meals are served) and the reception - all walking distance. Most bungalows are at higher levels and you can only be driven around to reach them. Overall there's comparatively lot more open space with greenery, likely for hosting lawn parties.

Rooms are spacious, the initial 600 series rooms are pool facing with balcony and almost adjacent to the restaurant. Beds are wide, wider than standard 6 feet (actually two single beds joined together). There's ample space for an extra sofa which can get converted to a bed for extra people. For some reason the TV is comparatively smaller in size, though mostly you don't end up using it. Bathroom is just above average, with some parts of it appearing dilapidated. Good thing is you can turn on the boiler anytime for hot water.

Pools have sparkling clean water, rightly so since they are cleaned daily afternoon and hence are closed between 2 - 4 pm.

Meals are buffet only and have a good spread with 3 non-veg options. Veg food is decent and eatable though could have been tastier. Breakfast spread is good as well. Overall service is good but could be better, quite often people have to wait for item refills while small orders for soft drinks can take quite some time to be served.

Service staff is courteous and helpful, though the front desk can sometimes get bottlenecked on a single person handling checkin/checkouts (with others just about giving a helping hand with welcome and billing).

The resort now claims a private beach across the road, entry to which is controlled through passes issued at reception. There's some open space (where something might come up) before entry to the beach. We could see some corporate guests playing volleyball on the beach as well as water sports and beach bikes available.

There's a children's game room with free carrom and table tennis while others have to be paid for. Nearby there's a DJ hall for dance parties etc.

Overall the resort offers great stay, given its only one of its kind in kashid, and hence is somewhat expensive.

PRAKRUTI RESORTS is a 4 star luxury Resort spread well over 100 acres of serene and sylvan surroundings over a hill facing Kashid beach. It is situated 134 Kms from Mumbai, a 3 hours drive passing through small coastal villages.

We 3 senior doctor consultant couples visited the resort during January 2014 weekend. The vast expanse of greenery offered us a relaxing break from busy city life. Friendly reservation officer Mr Prasad Shetty got us a 3 room villa 205 located at top of the hill with beautiful sea view.

One can choose from a wide range air-conditioned 2/3/4 bedroom villas or 48 apartment rooms with sit-outs. Rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, cable TV connection & a tea/coffee maker. Club cars are available for seniors and handicapped. “NISARG” a multi cuisine restaurant serves South Indian, Punjabi, Gujarati, Rajasthani, Chinese & Continental cuisine in buffet style.

There is a mini golf course with a helipad for captains of industry and third pagers. The resort has lawn tennis facilities and various other indoor and outdoor games. Swimming pool has a baby pool and a wide sitting area with deck chairs and a restaurant. It is a bird-watcher’s paradise. We did not use “SPARSH”, Spa offering kerala type massages.
We spent our evenings at its private beach on other side of the road. Enjoyable bullock-cart ride is available to reach there.

Front office executive Mr. Radhakrishnan, PRO Maru Shetty and catering manager Manoj were all very helpful.

Overall, we recommend this pleasant resort for a weekend or a conference.

Room Tip: Villa 205 on the hill-top with beautiful sea-view

I don't think you would find a better place than this in Kashid for a stay. It is awesomely spread with huge gardens & a twin swimming pool. The Entrance and the Lobby is Grand. They also offer bullock cart ride to the beach. An awesome experience all together.

Room Tip: Try to get the pool side facing rooms - great view.
