“Best skiing holiday ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

We stayed at Chalet 6 in February 2014 and it was superb from the beginning to the end (sorry it's taken me so long to write this review but in the mean time I have been raving on about Chalet 6 and about how superb Seb & Vix are to anyone who'll listen). This is quite a long review but there are lots of amazing things to tell you, so do read it all- you'll have no regrets booking this place and you will want to book time and time again.

Seb & Vix cannot do enough for their guests, they make you feel completely at home and spoil you rotten with the best cooking I've ever tasted. They will do their best to accommodate your every needs - I had a new brace and various diet issues and they ensured the menu was changed where necessary so that I could enjoy their delicious homemade food and they made me feel that it was no bother to them which was very reassuring as I know it will have been extra work but their guests are their No1 priority. Customer Service at it's best!

I know to regular skiers, ski in and ski out is an added advantage and normally I would agree but because Seb & Vix are so accommodating, it didn't make a jot of difference that we were a short car journey away from the slopes. They would take you and collect you at a time that would suit you (within reason- we like to ski most of the day) and it was completely hassle free. We never wanted to go out after dinner- why would you when you are in luxury surroundings with a hot tub and amazing views, free flowing wine and a 4 course dinner that's left you very sated.

The ski rental was also very easy and hassle free and great that you don't have to worry about your ski pass as Seb & Vix sort that out too. They are a fantastic couple, extremely friendly, a good laugh and excellent hosts. I really can't recommend this place enough. It really was the best skiing holiday ever and I've been on many. Thank you Seb & Vix.

Really enjoyed my week at Chalet6. I have been skiing for 40 odd years and mostly staying in Chalets as I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, compared to hotels. The facilities and accommodation are excellent. Seb and Vix are superb hosts with just the right level of "customer service" without being intrusive. Breakfasts, afternoon cakes and especially the evening meals with the house wine were well above the normal standard of ski Chalets. Attention to detail, from the choice of menu, wine, bed linen, even the soap has been clearly thoroughly considered. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

This was our first chalet experience, we normally chose hotel accommodation but this wonderful experience has definitely changed our minds. The attention to detail provided by Seb &Vix was exceptional right from our initial enquiries, booking, transfers, ski equipment hire, lift passes etc were all taken care of prior to arrival. The chalet was spotless throughout and our boutique rooms, enormous fluffy towels, bath robes and comfy beds just added to the whole experience and that's before we had eaten a bite or set foot on a slope.
Apparently this is the first season that these young people have ran their own chalet accommodation, well, all I can say is that they learnt very fast how to make you feel at home. This relaxed atmosphere might also have something to do with the excellent 5 Star quality food which was served at every meal and seemed in turn to encouraged relaxed chatter with the other guests with whom we had just met. I know I'm ranting on about the food but honestly each meal was a surprise both morning and evening plus being complemented at night by specially chosen wines.
The task of transport to and from the lifts each day was preformed by an ever smiling Seb who's run knowledge we found invaluable, as we were first time visitors to the area, we also found the variety of run choice and lift access was excellent.
For first timers you have really nailed it with your obvious genuine hospitality, you can't do anything else but succeed. As Arnie S says "I'll Be Back"

Well, it's kind of hard to explain just how good staying at Chalet6 is without coming across as overly gushing, but seriously, no amount of superlatives would do either the accommodation or your hosts justice.

The chalet itself is wonderful; great views, excellent rooms, bathrooms you would be proud to have in your home and it's clearly been finished with a great deal of thought and consideration. However, the chalet (wonderful as it is) is not the real selling point. Seb and Vix are basically what make this such a delightful place to stay.

I've stayed in a few chalets, and nothing touches these guys. From the first time we contacted them to when we waved goodbye at the end of a great week they were the most courteous, friendly and helpful hosts you could ever hope for. As a group we had some non-standard requirements and they couldn't have done more to accommodate us (both figuratively and literally). Nothing was too much trouble. Lessons, kit hire, lift passes, transfers, they were there to help with everything, and that's before we even left!

When we got there we couldn't believe our luck; the chalet was more than we could have hoped for, our rooms were amazing and our hosts made us feel right at home and made sure we were fed, watered, and comfortable after our journey. Over the course of the week we treated to a sumptuous array of good food, excellent cakes, and good wines. The atmosphere in the chalet is warm, comfortable and friendly, all driven by the Seb and Vix's attentive and considerate approach to looking after their guests. It feels like staying at a friend's house, but a really awesome friend's house where they make you great dinners every night, provide you with good wine, have a sweet coffee machine and then drive you to and from the slopes every day.

Genuinely, I can't think of any way in which Chalet6 could be improved. How many places have you stayed where you could say that?

Wow guys what can we say....thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed and kind review for us.

It was an extremely fun week for us and also felt more like having our friends stay for the week which is exactly the atmosphere we want to create in our chalet and make everyone feel at home.

We're still laughing about all the antics of that week and really hope to welcome you all back to chalet6 again in the future.

We really are so pleased you guys enjoyed your stay with us and thanks again for leaving us a review.

Stayed at Chalet6 for 7 days.
The service Seb and Vix provided was amazing. They even coped with the vagaries of the dithering Irishman (Neill)....well done Seb and Vix, you passed an imporant test there.
Breakfast was wonderful, dinner was excellent, the variety and quality being a great treat, each and every day.
Chalet6 may well be the cleanest, best kept accomodation I have stayed in, how often do you say that..
Transport to/from the slopes each day by Seb made life very easy, for us the guests.
The atmosphere of fun was created by two very very likeable, and hardworking hosts, Seb and Vix. I cannot think of anything to improve what was a fantastic week, in your superb accomodation.
So well done to you both, and a huge thank you from Steve (the bairn..)

Room Tip: Upstairs, 2nd door on left, immaculate large twin room, with balcony and superb view.

We have just returned from 7 wonderful days in Montriond where Seb and Vix treated us to a wonderful display of the very top hospitality imaginable.Their chalet is in a wonderful situation above Morzine close enough to venture down and yet far enough away to be totally secluded too.
The chalet itself is superbly appointed but undoubtedly its main selling feature is the aforementioned Seb and Vix who simply can't do enough to help you to have a great holiday.
The food was excellent (even for our one "fussy eater") and the quality of wine was top notch too.
This review is getting boring as I am starting to run out of superlatives!!
All in all I doubt you could find a better base for that special week in the Alps - and the skiing was superb too - yes we had a wonderful experience.
Just a shame I struggled so much to get my own old ski boots on each morning but thanks for the assistance with that too!

Hi Neill,

Well it's certainly been quiet since you left...no one moaning while struggling to get their ski boots on each morning haha, the boys in the shop have been at a loose end!

We're delighted you enjoyed your holiday with us and it really was a pleasure hosting for you and the other bairns!

Looking forward to seeing you all again and having another amazingly fun day on the slopes, don't think we've laughed so much all season....did your hat ever turn up?
