“Cosy, clean and excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We stayed here in Jan 2013, group of 12 friends. There were two other guests here at the same time. The chalet is in montriond and the owners provide access to the slopes via minibus (2, one seating 8 the the other 7). It's our first stay in a non ski-in/out chalet and I think I would do so again. The benefits (value for money, hot tub and sauna) outweigh the downside of not being able to pop straight onto the slope (the only real problem for me was that the logistics meant it was impossible to be at the lift for it opening). The two lifts that you're taken to (Ardent and pleney) are close and provide perfect points to start the day with varied runs accessible. Pick up was prompt and flexible on one occasion we needed it to (Lindsay picked us up on Les Gets at short notice).

The food was the best I've had in a chalet (Mike the cook was excellent). The other chalet host Phoebe was friendly and efficient, what else do you need.

The communal spaces are excellent, two large areas with a large fire. The hot tub was very welcome although it didn't maintain its temperature well after being in it for 30mins or so.

Free bar included in price was good value, previous chalets limit wine to the meal, this was not the case here.

Boot room with Warmers was welcome.

I didn't use the sauna but friends did and had no complaints.

Skis, boots and passes were delivered on our day of arrival. Two guests had problems (one had tight boots another's dislocated shoulder required a change to blades) and replacements were delivered promptly. This was very welcome when compared to previous years hauling gear from the rental shop to the chalet on arrival/last day.

Lindsay also helped organise a special surprise celebration. She did this tactfully and efficiently. We had a surprise cake and champagne.

The only negatives were that some rooms have limited storage (I understand this is being addressed) and one guest didn't have his bathrobe until day 3 (although in sure this oversight would have been corrected earlier had we highlighted it).

In summary having been many catered chalet holidays this was one if the best. Lack of ski in out meant better accommodation and value for money. Lots of little things added up to make it very enjoyable. Our stay at chalet beatrice will make us much more likely to do non ski in out again. Having read the previous poor reviews things have changed dramatically and I would happily recommend Beatrice and stay here again should we return to Morzine.

We stayed here in December 2012. The Chalet is warm and cosy and Lisa and Chris were very helpful.

However, the food was terrible - often lukewarm and very tasteless and not sure that the new chef hired this season is really up to the job. More raclette/fondue nights would be great, especially as it is hard to go wrong with this. Breakfast is limited. Service at breakfast was really bad and Chris and Lisa were often not around and so we would have to wait until they appeared to get our hot option (from the website I had thought that a full cooked breakfast was available each day but instead it was just one hot option - we had porridge one day, a fried egg another and then a croissant) Make sure you go to breakfast as soon as you can as there aren't always enough croissants to go around - especially if the early risers stuff themselves before you get a chance! Given that breakfast was only served for one hour, I didn't think it was too much to expect that at least one of them would be available constantly during this time. However, they weren't always there and that let them down a bit.

There aren't quite enough places for everyone to sit on the sofas in the shared living room area and so it is a bit too cosy for my liking when sharing the chalet with complete strangers. The beanbags are ok, but not necessarily what you want to sit on after a hard day of skiing! The hot tub is good though.

Not a bad chalet at all but do not think I would return here again although would def go back to Morzine.

Our stay at the Chalet Beatrice was just superb!!
Hosts Lisa & Chris have a great understanding of what a luxury holiday is all about.
Since the first greetings to the final ones, they were there to make sure everything was on order. I have been skiing with a group of great friends and children too but nothing was too much to ask.
Hot-tub on the balcony after a hard ski day with a cold beer in your hand is a must!
Food is great from breakfast to afternoon tea to dinner. Great choice of beverages and is all free.
First time in Montriond-Morzine and I'd be very happy to come back. The facilities are superb and thanks to Lisa everyone was taxied around dipending on everyone committments. My wife really enjoied her leisure lunches in Morzine whilst I was skiing and the other way round when she was skiing.
Confy satee and very nice fire place makes very atmospheric and a filling dinner a few glasses of nice wine.
Over all a wonderful experience and I'd definetely recommend this Chalet to everyone!!
Thanks guys!!

For anyone looking for a chalet in Morzine, I would highly recommend Chalet Beatrice. The hosts (Lisa and Chris) are excellent, the food was great and the service impeccable. They pick you up and drop you off to the lifts everyday, your skis and ski pass are at the chalet by the time you arrive, transfers were all arranged too - nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely stay again!

Just returned from a fantastic week at the chalet Beatrice.
We have stayed in many Chalets over the years but this one "does what it says on the tin"
Chris & Lisa were Great Attentive and always happy to oblige.
Most chalets always have one or two little things that aren't quite right but this one is perfect in every way.
My only complaint is that it was TOO GOOD and it makes returning home difficult.
Roll on next year

Advertised as a "Pièce de résistance", this Chalet really is a showpiece chalet. The hosts Chris and Lisa are outstanding in their attention to detail and in making their guests feel at home. from welcoming champagne reception, beautifully prepared rooms with quality touches such as L'Occitane toiletries, Sauna, Hot tub (which was the hottest yet!) oh and of course the free bar stocked with top quality spirits, port, and fine wines. The location is great, not too far out of Morzine, about a 20 minute brisk walk, but Chris and Lisa will drop you almost anywhere within reason. I have stayed in Morzine many times and Les Gets and this is the best yet. when you consider what you are getting; airport transfers (typically 60 euros), 5-star service, free bar, lifts to and from the pistes, you raelly can't get better than this.

Room Tip: all rooms have balconies. speaking to other guests there are no "better" rooms. the lower...

We have just spent a week staying at Chalet Beatrice and had a fantastic holiday! It is not the first chalet holiday I have been on but it certainly surpassed the others. The chalet is beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm, and as pointed out in previous reviews there were lovely little touches such as the toiletries in the rooms and toothbrushes for those who are silly enough to forget there own (thank you!!). Our group only left the chalet on one evening for a meal on the staff day off (Lisa recommended a lovely restuarant which we were delighted with - exactly what we had been after: cheese fondue and flaming meat!) but otherwise stayed in because we had no reason to leave - hot tub, sauna, well-thought out sitting areas which easily provided space for the number of people staying in the chalet, and super evening meals. Breakfast options were croissants/ pain au chocolat, cereal, fruit and on most days there was a different hot option like bacon/egg, pancake, porridge or beans on toast. The result was that we ate more than we normally would for breakfast but sustained us through until lunchtime. There would certainly be no need for a full cooked breakfast as we all generally felt quite full and heavy from the amount already offered that we gorged on! We were really happy with what was offered. When we got back in the afternoons there was always a cake, tea and coffee on offer which we were grateful for. Dinner was not just a meal, but an evening's entertainment: starter, main course, dessert and a cheese board with free flowing wine/ free bar. We were very happy with the meals - the food was delicious, well-cooked and well-presented, and again we felt we ate to excess on a daily basis. Thank you James!

We also can't speak highly enough of Chris and Lisa. They bend over backwards to accomodate the needs / wishes of their guests and must be truly exhausted by the end of the season. Our ski passes were waiting for us when we got there and not only are they up early to ensure breakfast is ready for those who want to hit the slopes as soon as possible, but they drive you to the bottom of the local lifts every morning, clean the house etc while guests are on the slopes and are then ready to arrange collection at either pre-arranged times or as soon as they possibly can upon getting phonecalls at the end of the day, not getting to bed until after the evening meal which could often be 9 or 10pm. We stayed during an exceptionally cold week (-10 to -30C) and not only was the chalet toasty cosy but Chris and Lisa spent a day thawing out the pipes to hot tub (yes it was really that cold!) in order to clean it as usual so we could make use of it. Very much appreciated - we loved the luxury of the hot tub and sauna at the end of a day on the slopes before dinner. We cannot wait for our next stay at Chalet Beatrice and can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Lisa and Chris for a memorable holiday!
