“Great location and ideal for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2011

Good spot right at the bottom of the lift. Ideal if travelling with kids as no messing in the morning to get out on the slopes. Pool and sauna handy after a busy day. Accommodation adequate.

We stayed here in Jan 2009 and loved the resort of St Foy and the apartment block. It was very nicely furnished, clean, warm and we had an amazing view of the valley from our sunny balcony. Facilities were great and kids loved the pool. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely come again.

We were positively surprised from the start. The appartment was quite spaciaous as opposed to many other ski resort appartments. The quality of the furiture and decoration was pretty high and there was a lot of attention to detail. You actually feel in a chalet thanks to the many wooden features, while you have the full comfort of a clean stone floor and very well heated.

The strengths are :
- VERY close to the slopes (just at the back accessible through various doors of the appartment block)
- feels like a hotel thanks to the many additional comforts (reception, wellness, great gym, bread delivered at the reception every morning, friendly reception staff).
- village is small and cosy (ideal for families with children who want to keep a watchful eye on their kids - which can even be done from your own terrace if your appartment is 'village/slope facing')
- the slopes cater for all levels of skiers (however not much choice, unless you're a off-pister) and there are hardly any queues at ski lifts even at a top of the season.
- restaurants around are really nice and only 3 minutes walk away max.
- sheets and linen provided and clean

Only weaknesses I can see:
- beds are slightly small (singles approx 1.90mx0.75m and doubles 1.90x1.40)
- when booking, make sure your flat is not situated on a corridor next to the ski-room, a stone corridor or a floor with direct access to the slopes (more people with skiboots passing by your door) - actually I suspect the A and B blocks will be quieter. Also, the higher up (there aren't that many floors though) the better (ideally top floor with no-one above you, and more sunlight). If you have a valley facing flat you'll have a beautiful view but hardly any sun. If you have a slope facing flat you'll have more sun and an entertaining view, don't worry the double-glazing is totally sound proof and the noise is nbot bad at all)

  • Liked — Vicinity to slopes
  • Disliked — small beds

Excellent location right next to the main lift in this quiet ski village. Despite being new the apartment complex has been built in a traditional alpine style to fit in with the village. Guest facilities are great - nice reception area with amazing fireplace and pool table, lovely swimming pool/spa area with powerful spas, saunas, steam rooms and great picture windows around the pool giving views of the mountains. The apartment itself was excellent, a good size, clean, nicely furnished, modern fittings and the view down the valley was about as good as it gets. All in all a lovely stay in an apartment complex that feels exclusive in a village which also manages to feel secluded/exclusive. Will be back another year, especially now we have a baby as the resort is great for little ones with a creche/kids club, a good ski school and kids slopes in the central village.
