The serenity of this place is stunning - and the hospitality impeccable. Although a bit "off-piste", an hour's drive from Sisteron, half an hour from Forcalquier and 20 minutes from Banon (a small village which has the largest book shop in France!). Everything smelled of lavender and the bed and linnens were no doubt the best we tried during our road trip through Provence.
Breakfast at the terrace was charming although lots of bees circling over the jam!
Rooms have no air condition but the temperature at night was still comfortable - even in mid July. Bathroom was not super delicate, but the shower was excellent.
There's really not much to do in the area (although te Cruis village is charming), but if you want a calm retreat or just a break from the Ibis hotels, this place is unforgettable.
