Had dinner here with our 2 daughters aged 7 & 9. It is a grand old chateau up on the hill, quirky rather than relais and chateaux but utterly cvharming. The owners seemed to have furnished it with an ecletic mixture of period pieces and object d'art, some of which are an acquired taste but all interesting (note the full size mechanical street organ adorning one of the tables. Food was wonderful, although not quite fine dining. We were offered aperitifs in the romantic garden terrace and ate in one of the dining rooms. The fix prix menus were great value offering a good regional selection and including an amusee bouch which was more substantial than most starters. The kids menu was also excellent and given a big thumbs up by my kids, , infact I would have been just as happy with their starter of ham and salad, proper local hams and beef main course, all were grown up quality (not the second rate items often offered to kids) and their dessert was the same as ours, a selection of house desserts. All this came to just under 100 euros which included a bottle of excellent house wine, 2 fix prix menus, 2 childrens menus, kir apreitifs and canapes, coffee ,cheese and grande petit fours(these we really could'nt manage but they helpfully wrapped them up for us to take home). Given the setting, the choice of menus and the service this must be one of the best value dining venues in the region. We will come again
