The food was ok, nothing sensational, but nice enough. The problem was the service, especially from the person who appeared to be the manager. We were a large group of 12 and the restaurant was reasonably busy, but still had empty tables, however the staffing levels appeared far to low to cope. There was one young waiter, who was very polite, running around doing everything, another serving the other half of the restaurant and another man who appeared to be the manager who just stood doing very little except stare at the other staff. The manager eventually took our order, we had to ask if we could order food, and he was very abrupt and seemed angry that we wanted different types of rice and bread, although everything we ordered was on the menu. Throughout taking the order he kept turning around and glaring at the young waiter and tutting, which probably explains why he got our order wrong. Otherwise the food was ok and the setting is nice. The other other problem was that the bill was not legible and the drinks were not itemised, so we had not idea if it was right, especially as we had to ask for some drinks twice before getting them, there was no way of checking we had only been charge once.

We are very sorry that you did not receive the service that you would expect from a trip to Raja of Cheadle.
