With not a lot of foreign visitors, this hotel caters more to the middle class Indian family. The first room we were shown was rather small, so we were next shown one of the suites. It was huge and everything was well cared for and clean, just looking like it came from a bargain basement furniture store. It had all the usual conveniences like air-con, fridge and a lockable cabinet, which we did not use. The price was more like a budget room in a bigger city, so we took it. The staff were helpful, if not a little too. We had one slightly odd man come to our door often to ask if we needed anything. However, he was friendly and not insistent about it. The front desk was quite helpful about finding us transport around to the sights nearby and onward to Golbarga. One of the big pluses was the downstairs restaurant which has inside and outside seating areas. The food was very good, plentiful and inexpensive. The restaurant becomes a bit of a drinking scene for the local men and can get a bit raucous. If you have children and are not too keen on the idea, they have a room set aside for families. We found it rather interesting and many times we were greeted by friendly revelers, complimented on our choice of foods and offered snacks from their tables.
