“Good hotel, Great staff and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Just returned from 7 nights all inclusive at the Jupiter Hotel Tsilivi. The room was basic but clean, the only critisism would be having to pay extra for air conditioning in your room. Why do people expect to get English food whilst abroad? The food was suprisingly enough GREEK! mostly meat and salad, with a good variety on offer. The bar 2 staff were brilliant, Athena working the morning shift and provided different cocktails on demand and Nondas working the evening shift. The hotel is a well run family hotel and I would recommend it to anyone, as long as they're not expecting 5 star accommodation. There are the usual bars and restaurants within walking distance, open til the early hours of the morning but they are far enough away to escape the noise at the hotel if you wish. Anyone looking to book an all inclusive holiday at this hotel should not read too much into the bad reviews, there were people moaning about the hotel and food during my stay and in my opinion they expect too much for their money or don't travel very often. Great holiday had by my wife and I!!!

Ive just returned from an 11 night stay, all inclusive at the Jupiter Hotel in Tsilivi. I would say that this hotel has two positive attributes that are worth remembering if you,re planning a trip to this resort. Firstly, it,s the location. Near to shops, tavernas, bars and the beaches.Secondly..the Staff! The staff , especially Athina ( works the pool bar during the day ) are friendly, helpful and efficient. The maids work very hard too , and were lovely! The hotel is very clean, generally well kept ( for Greek standards , anyway...lol ) and our room was adequate but lacking in space both inside and on the balcony. We had the smallest shower in the world too! Beds were not that comfy either unfortunately. The food was ok...as we like to try different things and enjoy greek food. However, that said; I think perhaps the hotel should provide a more comprehensive menu to favour British tastes as well as Italian and Russian!! It was okay.. but i dont think we,d return.

Having read the reviews prior to booking, they were middle of the road, which to be honest is fine-because unless you are travelling 5 * , thats what to expect. However from the off-set this hotel proved probably to be the worst I have ever stayed in-and it was not exactly cheap!! We travelled to this hotel on an AI Package

The bar staff were great-really friendly. In terms of hospitality, that's as far as this hotel allowed, the reception staff was quite unpleasant.Beds were made every day, but I would think we only had 1x change of sheets in the week and 1/2 we were there.

I travelled with my husband and 14 yr old son. We we crammed into an apartment-2 beds and a sofa bed(although I paid full adult price for my 14 year old.) There was'nt even room to swing a cat!!! The hotel catered for more the European market, mainly Eastern and Greek, as opposed to British or Irish, and whilst these families were very nice, it limited the communication/contacts etc you usually hope to have/make when you are on holiday.

The food was disgusting, it was not covered and flies all over the place. It was not as it it was just the same each day, half of it didnt even appear cooked. Breakfast was called continental-but of the processed kind!!!. It got to a point where I would physically feel sick at the thought of eating there....so for the last few days we were effectively "self-catering". Even the bar owners would make a comment such as "nice food eh" when you told them you were staying at the Jupiter.

The pool was dirty, whilst "sweeped" early morning, I never saw the pool being properly cleaned.

I think I read somewhere thtat this hotel was trying to go for 4* STATUS-DO NOT believe them, this is not even 1 * in my opinion!!!!

On a more positive note-we are so glad we travelled to Zante-Tsivili, it really is such a fantastic resort, really friendly, family orientated. We we so impressed we are going back again next year, but needless to say we are staying elsewhere...self-catering, and in a hotel that caters to the needs of families.

Only good thing in the hotel was the girl bartender on the pool bar - Athina and the receptionist - Lini. They were very helpful and made our stay little bit more nice! We were two couples ( married ). Between 7th of July and 15th of July. We paid 4 MONTHS before for all inclusive program and when we get there, they said that we HAVE to pay 7 euro per night in order to use the AC in the rooms! WHAAT ?! And this is three star hotel. We`ve been in lots of resorts before, but we never had to pay for AC! This was absolutely ridicules! This was NOT mentioned in our offer nor on the website. Also, you have to pay 1 euro per hour for using Internet and you can NOT use it in the rooms. You have to be down in the so called "lobby". The food was almost the same, EVERY SINGLE day. Just slight difference in the lunch and dinner meals, but the breakfast was absolutely same during entire stay ( 8 nights ). The male bartender on the pool bar was very rude and it was clear that he doesn`t care about the guest satisfaction. Except the bartenders and receptionists, no one else was able to speak in English. The pool is small and it looks dirty - we never tried it. I strongly DO NOT recommend anyone to go there. Especially if you go with a car - like we did it. The island is not so big and you can very easy find far more good accommodation for less money and far more good food.
Perhaps the other good thing, except Athina and Lini, were the rooms. Indeed they were clean and in good order every day. The towels were replaced every two days. The TV is very small and have only few channels, mostly greek, so you better just forget about it.
And in the end we all think that 90 euro per night for all this is way too expensive!!

Room Tip: You have to pay in order to use the A/C in the rooms!!!

Just come back from Zante and we had a fantastic time .i ve been to Tisilvi before but it was the first time for my partner and he loved it there .We were worried at first after reading some of the reviews for the Jupiter Hotel but we neednt have .It was a lovely hotel , spotless clean ,excellent staff and brilliant location .The cleaners came around every day ,the reception girls were so pleasant and helpfull and the guy in the bar was a lovely chatty man and the dinning room staff were good efficient workers .The food was good , the choice a little limited ,but still good .We were all inc but ate out a lot of the time simply because we were too lazy to go back to the hotel when we were out , so we would possibly do bb next time . The people of Tisilvi are very friendly and we would go back again and stay at the Jupiter .

Room Tip: we had an end room at the back where it was nice and quiet on the first floor .It had a double bed i...

close to the town centre, the hotel is clean and tidy,
unfortunately the food is very average in fact being honest its poor,
the staff by the pool work very hard and are very pleasant,
its a shame the food lets down what could be a fab little hotel
