“Absolutley Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

We stayed for two nights (Thursday and Friday) with friends. Food was amazing, and the rooms were very comfortable. But best of all are the staff, friendly, funny and just made our stay even more special! Thanks to Kat, Jade and 'The naked chef', Chris! We'll bring Twister next time! Would totally recommend The Farmers Boy, Longhope! Andrea and Alister, Southsea, Portsmouth.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here recently. We stayed 2 nights from 17th-19th September. Lovely friendly staffs. Food was very good. Great comfortable rooms.

What spoil our lovely trip to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday was that he was taken ill on our way home with a heart attack. He spent 5 days in hospital. He's recovering very well.

Spent 2 wonderful days and nights at the Farmers Boy Inn. The location of this place is perfect, you are right on the A40 so is very easy to reach places like, Ross On Wye, Monmouth and Gloucester. Is ideal if you like walks in the country, so much beautiful countryside to see. The Staff are very friendly and the breakfasts will fill you up for most of the day. Will be going back next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all so enjoyed ourselves here. The rooms were luvly, set in a courtyard with seats and plants around, just a few yards from the main pub. The breakfast was to die for, absolutely gorgeous;- scrambled eggs/smoked salmonmmmmmmm or a variety of cooked delights, as much toast, jam, marmalade, juices, coffee, tea, cereal, fruit etc as you care to enjoy. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was helpful & polite and human! Phill has a brilliant sense of humour and "The Mother-In-Law" was luvly. After a day of sightseeing it was luvly to come back and enjoy a relaxing meal and drink. All the staff were so nice we so so want to go back. Brace yourself FBI!

What a super couple of nights we spent at the Farmers Boy Inn. All the staff were very helpful and the chef's made our meals a pleasure to eat. We all look forward to going back again. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and served the very purpose for our visit. Well done to all.
The four of us could not find any fault with this lovely country inn.

We'd been away for over a fortnight, staying in a country house hotel,a luxury self-catering apartment and a top-class B&B.This was our last night away, en route home and it couldn't have been better. A friendly pub, extremely busy (Saturday night),but the cheerful staff coped well with the pressure. The food was brilliant. An amazing choice of pies, plus a comprehensive menu of other mouth-watering dishes- but the pies were outstanding
"Mad about Pies" Yes,indeed - passionate about pies, and a reputation well deserved.A very popular restaurant, probably essential to book in advance
The bedrooms, round a courtyard at the rear of the pub, were clean, comfortable and quiet, with huge beds you could get lost in!
A perfect place to end our holiday. We look forward to a return visit.
