“Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We came across the Farriers Arms by accident, as we were looking for a farm, and had to do a u-turn outside the Farriers. On our way back, we decided to pop in for a pint and lunch. I am so glad we did.

The bar area is so welcoming. There was a fire warming the place up, a great landlady, great pints and service with a smile. We also got talking to a few of the locals, who were very welcoming.

The lunch menu emphasis is on local produce. The pheasant was excellent, and finding a single shot in there told me it was fresh. The potato's were creamy and well seasoned. My wife and cousin had cod and chips, and again not to be disappointed.

We also got to talk to the chef (husband and wife landlady), and he was very enthusiastic about what he serves and where his produce comes from.

Thank you!!!!

So good to hear you enjoyed your visit. This time of year being game season, we are incredibly fortunate to have local farms within Todenham itself, who are able to supply us with wild local pheasant, venison, partridge and duck.

In addition to our board and bar menu, we are currently offering our Christmas menu for group bookings over this festive season, at the very competitive price of £18.95 and £22.95 for 2 and 3 courses respectively. With it's roaring log fire and Yuletide decorations, the Farriers is the perfect place to celebrate Christmas. A warm welcome awaits you whenever you are next in the area.

Kind regards

Louise

“Dog Friendly with fabulous menu.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We came across this pub when looking for somewhere to eat after going to Batsford Arborteum. The dog was made very welcome and the 3 adults also had a warm welcome. This is a lovely quiet friendly pub near Moreton-in-Marsh with no loud music blaring out! The menu is extensive with foods that you would not normally come across. We had Steak - cooked to perfection, Duck which was also fabulous and Lamb Steak also excellently cooked. Unfortunately, we were so full that the desserts had to remain in the kitchen. And the dog, enjoyed lying on the rug in front of the wood burner!

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are all set for the festive season and the pub is looking fabulous with its traditional decorations and of course a real Christmas tree. It's the perfect place to forget the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and relax with friends and family. We hope to see you again.

Kind regards

“Dog friendly pub in a lovely location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

3 adults and 2 dogs went for lunch. The dogs were welcome in the bar and restaurant. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The pub was very clean with plenty of character.
Would definitely visit again.

Thank you for your review. All our food is freshly cooked to order and sourced locally. Dogs are always welcome in the pub excluding the restaurant area but food is served throughout and the bar is always a popular area to eat. Hope to see you and your dogs soon.

Kind regards

Louise

“Traditional Pub with Great Food and Extensive Menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We have eaten here twice and will come back again. The menu is huge and varied and the food delicious and generous potions. We loved the atmosphere and age of this pub. The staff were friendly and the whole experience great. Loved it.

Thank you for the fantastic review. We like to offer a wide choice of menu options, including a chalkboard menu which changes regularly, a bar & snack menu and not forgetting a children's menu.

On Sunday, in addition to the above, we have two roasts and onTuesday evenings, we also have one dish at the very reasonable price of 7.50. Booking is advisable.

The Farriers Arms dates back to the 1600's and is steeped in history, having been a church house, Smith's shop and an ironworks and eventually becoming a public house in the 1800's.

Once again, thank you for the review and we look forward to seeing you again.

Kind regards

“Lovely Little Pub in Quaint Little Village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Me, my partner and my dog came here one day and were made up to hear the Farriers Arms is dog friendly. We had been doing a lovely walk in the country and really appreciated a fine ale at a grea pub, the landlord seemed very friendly. We were sat outside in the sun however were told we could bring the dog inside if we wanted.

Never ended up returning on our final night in the Cotswolds for food at the Farriers as instead went to a pub that we could walk to in the village where we were actually staying so that we could have a drink but would definitely return again when we are down in the area again.

A couple who had just eaten there said that the food was great and always had been.

I will try and get you put on doggie pubs, as believe us it was by off chance that we decided to try your pub as you were not advertised on there so we presumed you not to be dog friendly.

Many Thanks
Amanda and Andy

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So glad you enjoyed your visit. Dogs are most welcome both in the terraced garden and in the bar. In the winter, it' s not unusual to find a customer's dog curled up by the fire. With lots of great walks in and around Todenham, it's perfect for both dog and owner.

The doggie website was a new one on me and having since looked online, the Farriers Arms, seems the perfect pub to be included, so thank you for considering us. Your canine friend and yourselves will always be very welcome here, thanks again.

Kind regards
