“Great food, nice pub.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Dined on a Friday evening late September - glad I booked ahead as the pub was fully booked (which is usually a good sign). Interesting and varied Menu (sample on their website). Couldn't fault the food at all although the service was a tad slow, albeit not at all the fault of the waitresses who were worked off their feet. Good beer & wines as well. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely, picture postcard, Cotswold's pub/hotel. Welcoming and warm atmosphere, the staff were very friendly, the food was great and a great selection of beers. A couple of wonderful evenings there and I would recommend others to stop over

We absolutely loved our stay at The Churchill Arms. From the moment we arrived during their lovely Sunday lunch, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The rooms were lovely and clean, each with a beautiful view overlooking the neighboring fields. The staff (especially the manager, Vicki), were wonderful - very friendly and helpful with any questions that we had. They provided maps for our walking trips and many ideas of things to see in the area. We also ate several meals at the pub during our stay, and everything was fantastic. We had everything from full English breakfasts to Sunday roasts to upscale pub dinners, and we were truly impressed by everything we ate! The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful, and we enjoyed walking the public footpaths and visiting the nearby towns. We would absolutely recommend The Churchill Arms for anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful escape in the Cotswolds!

Reserved a table for seven people and we were seated promptly. The pub was busy and it seemed as if they only had two servers, one also serving as bartender...so it took a long time to get our drink order taken and even longer to be served and food order placed. The food was very good and we would definitely return for the quality food, but the service was severly lacking - we ordered a second round of drinks that never did appear. Too bad because the food is memorable and the atmosphere is charming.

Busy, busy at weekends, this is an excellent pub/restaurant. Varied menu and classic section also - the fish and chips is always good (and popular) and generous portion. Great puddings also. Choice of wines by the bottle or by the glass. Friendly relaxed service. Reservations recommended at weekends. Popular with locals and has become a good community focus for the village

A great halfway point when walking in the lovely North Cotswolds.

All we wanted during the walk were a couple of simple meals in a nice pub - and The Churchill delivered this and more.

We had the burger and fish and chips (not the most adventurous but I said simple). Put simply, wonderfully done and enough to make sure that we come back for an evening meal very soon.

You know your in a good place when the pubs nearly full on a midweek lunchtime!
