This was our first trip to the Wayanad region (3D/2N). The suite was very nice, clean and comfortable, and even had two large umbrellas (which we had to use immediately because of a sudden shower!). The resort is set-up in the old Cadbury estate, and has many cocoa (and other) plants. The Manager Noushad and his team were very professional, and room service provided at the requested times. We met George (the owner) during dinner and he told us many stories about the place. He also arranged a trip to his coffee plantation "Hope Estate", about 20 km away. Since the ground was wet we opted for a Jeep ride (see photo), which was quite exciting! We also visited a few places around, but greatly enjoyed a tea garden about 2 km from Verdure (no crowd at all).
At Verdure the food was prepared by Noushad's wife and mother and was cooked to perfection. We would love to return there soon, and would recommend this place to visitors who like to get away from crowds.
The resort's location given on the website map is not accurate (I have informed this to George), but you will find it here: http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=11.5896958&lon=76.0659349&z=17&l=0&m=b. If you travel from Mysore via NH 212, Verdure is 30 km from the Mint Flower Restaurant located at Sulthan Bathery right on the highway.
