“This must be one of the best B&B we've stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Touchstone B&B , just a few miles away from Bourton on the Water is probably one of the best B&B's we have stayed in , and through the years that have been quite a few.
Touchestone is run by Ann and Bryan , a lovely older couple who do their best to make your stay a memorable one.
The rooms (only two) are very large, with a very large bed, (better than our own bed at home). The large bathroom has a fantastic shower and all the conveniences you need.
Bryan and Ann have a large garden which we were allowed to use.
The breakfast was very nice with good bacon and sausages and plenty of choice, just say what you want and they would prepare it for you.
We took their advice for day trips and restaurants etc and were never dissapointed.
When we go to the Cotswolds again , we shall definately stay there again.
It's just like visiting your favourate Aunt and Uncle.

Room Tip: Book early because they only have 2 rooms.

My husband and I stayed with Ann and Brian for one night last year. The welcoming was very warm and homely. The room was of a good size and the facilities in the room was what we needed. We only stayed two nights prior to going on to our cottage in the village for one week. Ann was very helpful when I need somewhere to store perishables that we had brought on holiday. She stored it for us until we had moved into our cottage. We could come and go as we pleased. The breakfasts were very good and set you up for the day.
We enjoyed our stay so much so we are going to stay for Easter 2013

We stayed here for a short break & was made to feel very welcome. The owners were very friendly & went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. The atmosphere was excellent our room was very clean & comfortable, breakfast was delicious. The price for a room was very reasonable with lovely views & we would definately stay here again. An ideal place to relax & explore the cotswolds.

What a fab place to stay. We had a wedding to attend in the area and all the rest of the party stayed in a local large hotel. We decided to opt on touchstone because of its great location and cost. We couldn't of picked a better b&b. (All our other friends where very jealous of where we stayed, compared to their over price rooms with poor service from the staff)

Brian & Ann couldn't do any more to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They had lots of information on hand for us, they where always there for us to ask anything. Bedroom was large and comfortable and the bathroom had an amazing power shower.

Everything was perfect, even the breakfast came with a smiley face on the plate... we loved it :-)

The night of the wedding we got back really late and there was no hesitation by Brian or Ann to just leave us to it and let ourselves in whatever the time.

All in all they made our weekend even more enjoyable and we couldn't be more relaxed by the time we left.

The B&B was also ideally located for visiting lots of villages around the Cotswold.

We have already recommended the touchstone to our friends and family.

This B&B is located in the village of Little Rissington just a short distance from Bourton on the Water. The house has plenty of parking space and the bedrooms are very large, comfortable and well appointed. We had a very large room with what must be the biggest double bed I have ever slept in - a super king-size bed possibly. The room had an en-suite bathroom with a good sized shower. The room overlooked the house’s back garden and also front garden. Although the road could be seen from there this was not a problem as what little traffic there was certainly stopped by nightfall and the amount of road noise was negligible. The owners of the B&B Ann and Bryan were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great too. My partner had a light breakfast with choices of cereals, toast and juices whilst I went for the full English breakfast. The food was excellent and was obviously all locally sourced. The cost of the room was extremely good value being just £30 per person per night. I wholeheartedly recommend this B & B and would most definitely visit it again.

I had the large room at Touchstone and it was very large indeed, with a huge King size bed which was very comfortable. The room and ensuite bathroom with power shower were very luxurious. I was amazed that such a luxurious 4 star B&B was so cheap and such good value. The owners of the B&B were very friendly, helpful, relaxed and laid back. Although the B&B faces a small road which is a bit busy in the day, it is quiet at night.

We stayed with Ann and Bryan in August for three nights and we could not have been more impressed with the experience. The house is in a very quiet village just outside Bourton on the Water. The welcome was warm and inviting and the chats we had with our hosts were most enlightening. The facilities were first class and it proved to be an ideal base to tour the Cotswolds. Breakfast was excellent and everything one could expect. The advice on restaurants and places to see in the area made our stay a delight. Do yourself a favour and stay with these lovely people if you wish to avoid the crowds in the better known villages.
