“Best B&B I've ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

I had the large room at Touchstone and it was very large indeed, with a huge King size bed which was very comfortable. The room and ensuite bathroom with power shower were very luxurious. I was amazed that such a luxurious 4 star B&B was so cheap and such good value. The owners of the B&B were very friendly, helpful, relaxed and laid back. Although the B&B faces a small road which is a bit busy in the day, it is quiet at night.

We stayed with Ann and Bryan in August for three nights and we could not have been more impressed with the experience. The house is in a very quiet village just outside Bourton on the Water. The welcome was warm and inviting and the chats we had with our hosts were most enlightening. The facilities were first class and it proved to be an ideal base to tour the Cotswolds. Breakfast was excellent and everything one could expect. The advice on restaurants and places to see in the area made our stay a delight. Do yourself a favour and stay with these lovely people if you wish to avoid the crowds in the better known villages.

The Breakfasts were cooked to order just when you needed it were of the highest quality and quantity and would sustain for most of the day.We were given excellant information on the area and places to visit & eat, we were even lent a map to use during our stay. By the time we left we felt as if we had made new friends. Highly recommended to anyone would wants to visit the Cotswold,s

Touchstone was highly recommended by a close friend who has stayed with Ann and Brian on several occasions. It turned out to be the best B & B that we have ever stayed in (outclassing some of the hotels we have stayed in on our travels). The room we stayed in (along with its onsuite facilities) was exceptional,The bed was so large and comfortable that they were lucky we didn,t attempt to bring it home with us.All the small touch,s that make any stay exceptional were in abundance. No set breakfast times(you agree the times to suit you)and the quality and variety of the food would take some beating.Ann and Brian made you feel like old friends and nothing was too much trouble for them, even giving us a map of the area with instructions where to visit and the features not to be missed. Will recommend Touchstone to any one planning to visit the area.We already are planning to return.

Touchstone is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Ann & Bryan are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to ensure that you have a lovely stay. Spacious comfortable room and bed. Great tasty breakfast and a very warm welcome. Excellent all round value for money. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: Great location for touring, no WiFi

We had intended booking for just one night but, in the event spent the remaining days of our holidays at Touchstone. How lucky we were that the lovely owners Ann and Bryan managed to fit us in. Theirs is, without doubt, the most comfortable B+B we have ever stayed in. This house had all those special little touches we found so lacking in others, fresh, flowers, shampoo and soaps and a bed so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me! The previous posters (Jezza 74) description was certainly not the “Touchstone” we were fortunate enough to stay in. The food was lovely and well presented (no hash browns) and the place itself was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be going back there. Thank you so much Ann and Bryan for making our stay such a pleasant one.
