“So glad we had our wedding here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I truly enjoyed staying at this resort and having my wedding here on April 19, 2013. Alejandro was my wedding coordinator and he was absolutely amazing! He was so accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Alex and Daniel served us drinks on the beach and they were a pleasure as well. DJ Mannia was also wonderful to work with and our wedding photographer, Juan Carlos, took amazing pictures that I'll treasure forever. He did a fabulous job! Everyone is raving about our photos. The photos on their website is exactly how it is when you get there. The staff is always making sure the entire resort and rooms are clean and tidy. Even though kids are welcome, the place is always clean and actually very quiet and relaxing. The food is OK. We stayed here 5 days, 6 nights and after the 2nd day, everything started to taste similar. However, I would definitely recommend this resort! Especially if you can stay at one of their Casitas since you get your own private pool. (Ours was facing the ocean - room Linda 2). Very relaxing!

Room Tip: Casitas are great (especially if you face the ocean) since you get your own private pool. Or even t...

My husband and I stayed in a beach front casita with private pool (Hermosa 2) from April 17-24. It was the BEST room in the whole resort in our opinion. We were right on the beach, next to the pool bar, and Isla Grill. The room was large, and super clean. It was so handy to have the private pool when you felt like an evening swim. My only complaint about the rooms are you have to keep your "Do Not Disturb" card on your door when your in the room. It seems like there are always people walking in and out of your room to clean, stock fridge, and stock goodies. A lot of the times they didn't knock so they could have been walking into some intimate moments. If the card was on the door you didn't get disturbed at all.

The food is fabulous, and so beautifully presented. I ended up taking pictures of all my meals because they were like artwork lol. I'm not sure why anyone would criticize the food. I actually came to the resort with little expectation of the food after reading all the reviews. I was just shocked by how picky people must be. I've stayed at a ton of all inclusive resorts and it was by far the best food. I was expecting the service to be slow too. They must have worked on this because we had no problem with getting meals quick. If you order your appetizer and main course at the same time it might speed it up. There isn't a whole lot to do at night so sitting on a patio eating, and drinking is your entertainment. Room service was superb too. We used this for late night meals. The nachos are to die for.

They take pride in this resort and everything is kept so clean. Every morning they're out raking the sand, watering the gardens, cleaning, and preparing for your day. The staff are wonderful. We never had a problem with anyone. Our server around the pool Daniel was absolutely amazing. We tipped him very generously. We were surprised at how many people didn't tip. These people work very hard in very hot conditions always with a smile on they're faces.

There were a lot of families, and children here. There was never any issues. All the children were very well behaved. We were originally going to bring our 1 year old daughter so that's why we choose this resort. If you don't like being near children I would say to go to an all Adult Resort.

There isn't any night time entertainment past 9 so don't choose this resort if you want to party. The most entertainment we had was a jazz player at dinner, and some singers at the lounge until about 9:20. I'm not sure what everyone does, but after 8pm you never see more then 6 couples around the resort. We found it a little boring at night, so just went to bed early.

Another thing I'd like to mention is people tell you the resort is 10 mins from the airport, but it's actually more like 45 mins to an hour. It is off the beaten path, but it's a nice drive. You get to see the way off life in Mexico.

All in all this was my favorite vacation I've been on. It was nice to just relax and do nothing for a week.

We stayed at The Beloved Hotel in January 2012 as a special graduation present to ourselves.

We had an awesome stay as the hotel was mostly empty at this time (a plus to us), and as an all inclusive, we were impressed with the food and the drinks. Some of the service left a bit to be desired (long waits for our server to come back, forgetful of what we ordered), but we just didn't care much as we were super relaxed.

I think my favourite meal was breakfast - the offered a beautiful buffet that changed daily - from fruit to pastries, to brunch type food - so good!

The beach was beautiful too! Cute little cabanas to hide from the sun but still have the beautiful relaxing view of the water.

There were 3 pools, but only one was heated. The other two were FREEZING! Even on the hottest of days, we could only jump in and out before feeling like we were catching hypothermia.

We were in one of the main hotel rooms and had a lovely view of the property. The room had a massive washroom and a comfortable living room and bed. They were also spotloss! We got up super early everyday to just be able to lounge on the beach and enjoy the sunshine.

While there are only 3 places to eat for dinner, this didn't bother us as we just rotated back and forth.

I would definitely stay here again!

We returned for a third time and overall, enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded since to a room with a plunge pool which was nice but not a big 'must have' because even with a Junior Suite you have plenty of space and access to such lovely pools and the beach front. This was definitely a busier time of year than our previous stays - lot of families - which was fine for us since we had our two 7 year olds with us. They made friends and enjoyed Kids Club immensely. Afrika and team were great as usual. The new smoothie bar was a nice addition, especially for the kids to have the ability to get refreshments on their own.

The resort and rooms are still clean and gorgeous. Breakfast at Aroma is the best meal - the variety is wonderful and service is amazing. After a day or two the staff remembers what you ordered and makes it very accommodating. You can request off menu and they will do everything in their power to get you what you want. We had several different servers and they were all stand outs. Dinner there was not a great experience. Again, I think due to the number of guests they were a bit overwhelmed and it took a while for food to be delivered. The sushi at Lupita Lounge was wonderful, the setting superb. As a vegetarian it was nice to have a vegetarian menu at the restaurants for dinner. There isn't one for lunch because there is enough on the menu to choose from. However, since going to the all inclusive format,my husband thought the food quality has taken a dive. The seafood doesn't seem to befresh and it was a bit overcooked. He had better luck when ordering meat but you would think the opposite being in Mexico. Good thing it is all inclusive because if you don't like something you can just order something else!

The service at the pools and beach was great thanks to Luis and Daniel! Patrizio was always around checking on your well being also. WE got cabanas a few days and loved that option. The spa service was still AMAZING. I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be many people that take advantage of it. If you're reading this YOU MUST TRY IT! The Aqua Vive is a one of a kind experience prior to your service. You are transported to another place!

No tennis court access this go round. Not sure what's going on with the condo property(which is oddly practically vacant) that is associated with the hotel but it seems as if the court belongs to the condo bldg and we can no longer use it. My son is a tennis player and thought he would be playing a few days. Couldn't take him to Excellence so that was it unless you go into town.

Upon check out I had a bad experience with a gentleman that insisted that he could not honor late check out (12:45 vs 12:00) although it was confirmed the day before. He even had the nerve to turn the computer around to show me it wasn't noted then said "Well I don't know who you talked to but it's not here". Then proceeded to say he cannot accommodate me because someone else is checking in the room. Really?? Check in isn't until 3 pm?!? I then told him that we just wouldn't be leaving the room until our desired time so he can do as he wished then he said we could check out at 12:45. Unbelievable. Still not a deterrant - it accommodates our family needs but overall they get 4 out of 5 stars this time. Need to get back to the 5 star service and food they had before.

I loved every moment. Marcella greeted us with cool towels and Champagne... From the minute we arrived, the service was impeccable. The Staff truly appear to enjoy their jobs and consistently ask if they can make your stay more pleasurable. The food was delicious, grounds are gorgeous and serene. This is a small, quiet, Zen resort. A Harpist would often accompany dinner. Prior to dinner, we would go to Lupita Lounge for a cocktail and a Saxophonist would play Jazz and a Latin Trio following. Simply beautiful! I could write on and on. Many thanks to Moses and Claudia, Christian Pablo, Paolo, Patricio, David by the Sea, Jose at the Spa and the ever so gracious General Manager, Gabriel Garcia. We cannot wait to return to this fabulous resort...

My family went to the Beloved for my brother's wedding. Most of us were there for 4-5 days. The rooms are nice (great amenities and fully stocked mini-bars). Some of the staff were great (Milko- the evening general manager, Alex at Isla Grill, Concepcion at Aroma). However, I would never go back to this hotel because some of the staff provided awful service. The Lupita restaurant's hostess (Ingrid) was blatantly rude..rolling her eyes and sighing when we placed our order. We thought she was just having a bad day... we went back the next evening because the food was pretty good there. She was worse. We will never go back to the Beloved.

From the moment we stepped onto the property we were impressed. We were greeted with cold towels and glasses of champagne. Check in was quick and easy. Our room # 231 was spacious and beautiful, 2 double beds and a comfortable sofa/bed, large balcony with a bed, table and chairs. The Jacuzzi was situated inside the room with trifold glass doors opening unto the balcony. Service was always with a smile. They radiated such warmth we almost felt like family. The Isla Grille and their staff were phenomenal! The Aztec soup was out of this world. Kudos to Paulo, Yorelli, and Cinthya. We took our mother there for her 90th birthday. They made her feel so special. They placed flowers on the table and were always ready to assist in whatever capacity they could. Our favorite bartender, Gio, from the lobby bar, works magic creating delicious drinks, and conversation. The food at Aroma was awesome. Breakfast had such a varied assortment to please even the pickiest of palates. The Salmon, and the steak couldn't have better. The beach was never overcrowded, plenty of space between lounge beds. The service was always quick and helpful. David the lifeguard was friendly. He did more than lifeguard, he assisted in many ways helping to make us comfortable and sincerely cared about the well being of the patrons.
The taxis services were so accommodating they would even wait for you while you shopped, without added costs.
It was a privilege to stay at such a wonderful resort. We really can not understand how anyone could rate this resort with anything other than 5's across the board. I have been to several upscale resorts in Mexico, this is definitely one of the very best.
The only improvement would be to keep the pool open until 10pm.
We can't wait to come and stay again!

Room Tip: We stayed in bldg. 2 on the 3rd floor, room 231. View was beautiful.
