We spent 3 days in the Spa & Pool Villa at the Pavilions in mid-September.

The Pavilions stuff picked us up from the B&B we stayed at the exact time we confirmed earlier. The car drove through the entrance of the Pavilions, we looked out to the window and wow ... we felt like going through a bamboo tunnel ...

We arrived the lobby around 12.15 pm, our room was not ready until 2 pm. So we went to the Library and spent some time there. There are two computers, books and DVDs for you to use, borrow and read, ended up we borrowed 4 DVDs ...

The hotel stuff showed us around of the Pavilions on a buggy and brought us to a waiting lounge (for buggy), then a lift on the hill, through a short path then ... we arrived our villa, no 28. Actually, we were kind of disappointed to stay at the second level of the villa hill, we hoped to get a villa on the third level, no 3X or so. Especially after reading many of the reviews from here, the higher level villa you stay at, the better view you can get. But it was alright, we liked our villa and the view was quite good too.

We walked into our villa, it is exactly what we saw in the photos on the website! The pool, scala, the living room, bedroom, bathroom, private spa room … spectacular!!! I like the ipod-like thingy very much, many songs/music choices and it is good to have music around even in the bathroom. And the “no tan lines” promise came true! Total privacy you may have in your villa.

We went to Eastland to have afternoon tea (complimentary) on the first day of arrival, the pastry and the drink was good. We also went to the famous 360 for drinks and snacks during sunset on the second day of our stay, 50% discount on drinks during happy hours. We recommend for those who will visit this hotel, go to the 360 and have a drink, you will not regret it … the sunset was magnificent.

We stayed at our villa most of the time. We went to the Plantation club for daily breakfast and we ordered room service for dinner. Breakfast was good, many choices … you could even order thai noodle with soup there. However, not room service dinner. The food was alright I would say. There is room for improvement.

Another highly recommended thing to do … SPA at your villa. We had “Romancing the Stone” and “The Pavilions Essential Oil Massage” … it was so comfortable and relaxing. Their therapists performed top level massage skills (always with a smiling face) which could soothe every tensed muscle of ours and we did have a good deep sleep afterwards.

We highly recommend this hotel, we would stay there for a week or more next time when we visit Phuket. It is a bit pricy, but worth for paying.

Room Tip: pay more for a villa on higher level on the hill ...

Let me preface my review by saying I've been blessed to stay in many nice places over the years. This one is without question the nicest, and most unique, property I've ever been. The room is really a villa. A large stand alone bath tub and extra large walk in rain shower highlight the huge bathroom. The bed was super plush and comfortable. The living room had a nice TV with iPod and a half kitchen. 110 plugs are everywhere. But the pool an its view were the big draw. Interior is all tile and was about 30 x 12. Being in the pool industry i noticed some maintenance issues (a few missing tiles, minor construction defects ), but nothing that detracted from the experience. The covered daybed was useful and very relaxing. It had lights and a fan which doubled its availability......All this would be greatly marginalized without service. Being situated on steep hills makes one totally reliant on their golf carts. Every time we called they were there within minutes. The service was spectacular across the board. They fell over themselves to help us. We ate breakfast every morning at their buffet and loved it. I stayed with more western fare and found it to be on par with anything here in the States. We visited the 360 bar on top found it be chic and cozy. Great place to start a night at sunset. We didnt try their private beach but heard it was very average......My wife claimed the in-room massage was the best she'd ever had and we heard that from others as well. Be advised that staying here puts you off the beaten path in Phuket. The Patong area is a rough 45-60 minute drive. But if you're looking to relax, there is not a better place I can think of. Highly, highly recommended.

Room Tip: We had #17 and it was perfectly situated.

One of my favorite resorts in Phuket. This resort fulfills every bit of what i expected of a villa resort. Stayed in the Ocean view Villa twice and villa 13 is the best! Great and attentive service. The villa is spacious with modern furnishing. Nice and big private pool with panoramic seaview. Sunrise: Breakfast is served in your own villa. Sunset: Turndown service. For those who are looking for some action. The Pavilions Phuket is located outside of Patong and you will need a vehicle to take you to places.

I give it A++++++. A great place for private time with your love one!

We stayed at the Pavilions from September 10th through September 14th 2012. We booked the trip on-line and confirmed the reservation for the room as well as the transport upon our arrival. Bee our driver was waiting when we emerged from baggage, customs, immigration… He had cool towels, fresh fruit, and water for our enjoyment. He asked if this was our first visit to Phuket, when we indicated it was our second he welcomed us back.

When we arrived at the resort we were greeted by the staff in traditional sort with the clang of the gong and a welcoming drink. We were also greeted by the GM and the Activities director. They both let us know that they were available should we need anything. We were also advised that we could be as active or inactive as we wanted. Room service is available in the room for all three meals if that is what we choose. We also had a separate room for spa services.

The room – the room was very spacious. We had a big living space with a sofa that was easy to cuddle up on. Our bed was a king size canopy with sheer curtains completely surrounding it. The bath was equally spacious with a soaking tub, double sinks in the vanity and a walk in shower. The spa room was also available to us, the bathroom was a bit smaller (no worries) the shower had a steam and sauna feature. Our main room overlooked our private courtyard with private pool, lounge chairs, dining table, and canopied lounge bed. The spa area had a mini garden with waterfall which perfected the spa services.

We had dinner and drinks at the 360 club. The staff was amazing always there to assist but not overbearing and intrusive. Tang and Jaeb were terrific members of the staff who enhanced our experience. We were also greeted by Francois the meals director who came by to check on us. Again another touch that made us feel special.

We had breakfast every day at the Plantation Club. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The buffet was not huge by any means but the “cooked to order” options had a terrific variety, the food was cooked to perfection. One member of the staff really stood out for us and that was YOM every morning he would greet us by name and ask us how our day before was. He was a sweet young man that made us feel like we were home. Thank you YOM!

We arranged excursions through the staff as well as on our own. Both options were welcome and handled perfectly. My husband suffered an injury prior to our arrival which made walking difficult. We really appreciated the “golf cart’s” that picked you up at the top of the lift and brought you to anywhere on the property you wanted to go.

Thank you Pavilion Staff for making our trip special we cannot wait to come back. Debbie and Jim

Room Tip: We had villa 36 the view -also a little path just across from the lift to bring us to breakfast. We...

The Pavillions is outstanding, you will not regret staying hear the service was fantastic and constant all though our stay, the food is really good and with 3 options of dining you do feel spoiled as the view from the breakfast table in the morning is so lovely and from the 360 bar in the arvo at sunset over the water with cocktail in hand is so relaxing, the rooms are beautiful and very clean the hotel is set so nicely in a forest setting they really made the most of it, its so lush and green, But its the little things that make it come together by there turn down service at night as they leave little love notes and gifts on your bed, the first morning i asked for tomato sauce and every day they always had it at the table, we went for my partners 30th and we had a beautiful bday dinner at the 360 bar and they surprised him with a bday cake and song followed by wish lateens we set off into the night it was just wonderful, as well as the staff giving him a bunch of red rose's with a card signed by the staff. and when they pick you up from the airport they have on the backseat for you is cold bottled water fruit pieces and cold towel. This is going to be our place to stay as we will be going back. its a place for couples but could do a group of friends it would be a great girls holidays full of pampering. we loved it!!!

We had stayed here around 2007 and really enjoyed our time but then read some alarming reviews after that so we stayed away for a while. Then we found that it was for short period of time and then the reviews improved again. So we decided to venture here again this August. We really enjoyed our stay though the service was a bit random. We stayed in an ocean facing pool villa and the villa was just as beautiful as we remembered and the complete privacy with the pool and a view is so rare to come by, we enjoyed it immensely. The service as I mentioned was a bit random with people not turning up to clean up for most of the day even after repeated reminders. We really had to be diligent about calling them in the morning as we walked out to breakfast so that they would come clean, otherwise we ended up waiting around for people to clean most of the afternoon. I got the feeling that the cleaning and dining were under staffed. On the whole though, the experience was almost as good as I'd remembered. We'd definitely consider going there again over some of the more expensive ones we have tried in Phuket sheerly for the complete privacy and also proximity to the airport. Makes a nice easy get away even for just a long weekend.

Room Tip: The ocean view villas are awesome but I think it would be better to get a room higher up (above 9...
