We recently spent a week at La Chiusa while attending the Tuscan Women Cook program. The hotel is and old olive oil mill which has been converted into a beautiful hotel and restaurant. Umberto makes sure the hotel runs like a clock, and Dania is the talented chef who makes sure the restaurant turns out delicious food. We were also fortunate to have Dania as the instructor for our first cooking class. The service in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful: friendly and efficient; we never lacked for anything. The hotel rooms are not all the same; ours was at the end of the building closest to the kitchen, and I was able to sneak into the back door of the kitchen and get a freshly made cappuccino before they were even ready to serve breakfast.
