The building looks like some sort of office, and is off-putting. The décor is practical and unexciting. We tried Bella Cosi for breakfast, not expecting too much. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast well cooked. It took ages to pay the bill, standing in a short queue, whilst the waitress made coffees. However, we decided to return for dinner. We didn't book, not expecting difficulty in obtaining a table on a Thursday night. Boy were we wrong! They did manage to squeeze us in, at a tiny corner table facing a wall. We realised then that we had totally underestimated this hidden gem. The locals obviously know about this place. The food was fantastic! The Ciabatta was amazing. I had the Gnocchi with Quattro Fromagi. One of my obsessions in life is good gnocchi and this was a very good one. My husband had the Tagine of Seafood, which he said was delicious. Neither of us could resist the Tiramisu, and it was one of the best we have had in a long time. There didn't seem to be enough staff on, either at breakfast or dinner, but they were good natured and friendly and were doing their best. The wine list was reasonable. Do try this gem of a restaurant - but make sure you book your table in advance!
