“Home from home - great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

We spent 3 nights in this lovely B&B. Would definitely go back if I'm ever lucky enough to be in The area again - lovely house and spacious rooms. The veranda is a nice spot to enjoy the Australia summer.

Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. It was so clean and in a fantastic leafy, quiet location. We walked to Manly and then caught the ferry to Sydney etc. Linda the host always ensured all supplies like towels, soaps, teas and coffees were stocked up and always saw to it that we were happy and comfortable and when we came home each evening the place was tidy. We were very spoilt here.

We had a fabulous stay at Cecil st B&B. Spotlessly clean rooms and linen and a very gracious hostess who went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Linda for all the extras you did, we appreciated it!

Lovely calm peaceful B&B. Linda was wonderfully welcoming. Clean, crisp linen - just lovely. I didn't have breakfast so can't comment but tea and coffee facilities (and biscuits!) were great. Linda will also arrange pick up from the airport.

Stayed for 4 days and it was a great base within walking distance of the Manly Wharf, shops and restaurants at Manly and public transport.
Bek who was running the B&B at this time, went so many extra miles for us and made our stay absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
Breakfast is a treat there and the charm of the bedroom and adjacent sitting room with TV, DVD player and tea/coffee facilities made us feel right at home.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2011

My partner and I stayed in the b and b for New Year in Sydney, along with another of our couple friends. It was actually suggested to us after our initial choice was unavailable at the time we required. We were very pleasantly surprised. Despite being on the slightly pricey side (Where isn't at that time of year in Sydney!) we were welcomed by Linda the lovely hostest with the mostest who had baked a fresh batch of delicious fruit muffins that morning.

We had the smaller of the two rooms, as our friends had taken the time to book for the both of us, which was still immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The beds fantastically comfy...We stayed for 4 nights, and had sole use of a cosy front living room and paid the extra $20 for the continental brekkie. This was put out for us every morning and consisted of croissants, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc (and eggs...if you can work out the poacher/boiler!) a selection of teas/coffee and juice. Well worth it.

Linda's generosity even stretched to lending us her children's boogie boards and beach umbrella for a relaxing day on Manly beach, as well as dropping us and our backpacks down to the ferry point. Manly is a beautiful place to stay with beaches way surpassing Bondi. It has a wealth of restaurants and bars, suitable for families and couples. The only negative I can find was that Cecil street was at the top of a very big hill which should only be attempted by the brave at heart....however Linda is more than willing to pick guests up from the ferry, or a cab ride is a very reasonable $6.

Definitely worth the little extra to stay in this gorgeous B and B as a little treat.
