I visited Nammos recently after having been urged by friends who had visited to go. Before going I got onto Trip Advisor and read the reviews as I was trying to decide whether we should visit Nammos or Finns Beach Club (similar and nearby). I was really put off by the numerous bad and indifferent reviews, and we decided on Finns instead until the driver also urged us to go to Nammos instead.
I couldn't disagree more with the bad reviews! We had a stunning day lying around and using the facilities here... As we were staying in Seminyak and due to the traffic the drive to get here was almost an hour, we left at about 9am and arrived around 10am which was perfect as the tide was out! We payed our 250,000 rupiah entrance (which I considered to be very reasonable to use the facilities for the entire day), 100,000 credit for our food/drinks bill was also forthcoming making it a pretty cheap day out!
We took the inclinator down to the beach club and were welcomed with drinks on arrival, guided to out sunlounges (hotel guests get the front row reserved so the second and third row are for visitors), and set up with menus towels etc. We were delighted as we went on a Saturday yet we had the run of the place, with only up to six other people there the whole day! We spent our day sitting in the shallows on the reef until the tide came in early in the afternoon, and sun baking. We had a great lunch of dips and bread and a pizza and young coconut drinks! The food is pricey on a Bali scale but very standard as compared to Australia, however we knew we were eating in a hotel and expected it so weren't at all surprised or disappointed. The food we had was fresh and simple and exactly what we wanted, and our credit from entry helped to ensure the bill at the end of the day was very reasonable.
We scheduled our departure for 3:30pm and the staff were more than happy to arrange a car to pick us up and take us back to Seminyak.
All in all it was a stunning day, and we were so glad we had made the trip, I would be very tempted to return and stay a couple of days at the resort next time, as it is such a stunning place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Legian and Seminyak and the beach is so beautiful.
Ignore the critiques and check it out for yourself, at the very least it's a gorgeous change of scenery and a great day out!
Get there early so you can check out the reef before the tide starts coming in, also helps with having your pick of the seats!
It got really super hot when we were here so take your sunscreen if you don't want to get burnt.
