“Genuine, Friendly Local Brasserie.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We come here quite often as a reward after having done the nearby 2 hour-ish hill walk, with fantastic views over Eze and towards Cannes.
It is also handy for a post-lunch stroll around the old village, to the Trophy monument, and to the fantastic view over Monaco and the surroundings.
Service is friendly, but efficient, and the quality of the food good, although there is quite a lot of local nicoise cuisine, so sometimes pig's trotters, and ravioli with a heavy meat sauce.
Value is good, and we have never had a disappointing lunch yet in 3 or so years.

“A real scandal !!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Look at the previous review of somebody else on august 26th 2012 ..he told the truth ..we order the plate of the chef and I took one bite and this was really a horror..and I sent it directly back to the kitchen,,no taste, dry and fat...it was canneloni with salmon.. So this is really a tourist trap and go to the bar de la fontaine for a quick lunch...it's also in La Turbie...

“Fantastic and fresh Provincial cuisine - can't wait to return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Authentic, original, fresh, delicious.... we enjoyed the goat cheese salad and ravioli appetizers.... they were both incredible, and we ended up sharing both. We each wanted a steak tartare - so we both happily ordered our own plates for the entree, and it was one of the best we had had while in France. She got the Tarte Tatin, which was particularly infuriating as she has been trying to get the caramelization on the pears and crumbly crust just how they had it. I had the creme brulee, which was fantastic. Incredible place, wonderful value, and we will be back!

“Outstanding lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Awesome lunch in the center of a very attractive town. The ebullient owner brings a blackboard with the day's dishes to the table, with a 3 or 4 choices for entree, plat, and dessert. Dishes are all excellent seasonal renditions of the regional cuisine, i.e. sea bass provencale, duck breast with fresh peaches. Superb quality for the price. We would make a special trip to La Turbie just to eat here again!

“the staff make the difference!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

We spent 2 nights in town and ate here both evenings. The food was great, the location great..... and the staff were superb. They really worked hard to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our meals...nothing was too hard!
