We stayed at this B&B because of the beautiful historical building we LOVED the place. Only 2 negatives the sqeaky brass. bed and Linton making bread in the middle of the night. Which woke me(our room was near the kitchen) this B&B is Clean and Comfy fresh bread, great fireplace in the lounge free port to sip by the fire a book to read very pleasant thankyou

Touring with 2 teenage Grandson's this was our overnight stay before seeing Port Arthur the next day, property is right on the water with jetty where you could fish. Lynton (host) gave us the tour of the property and explained the history and showed photos of a long ago era, very interesting.
We stayed in the Garden room with double bed and twin bunks, room led directly onto the garden, a sofa and comfy large chairs TV and ensusite tea and coffee making facilities , there was also a lounge you could use with complimentary glass of port, plenty of DVD's to choose from (no charge). Breakfast was yummy lovely fresh bread and preserves, also freshly laid eggs from the chooks out back.

Rich history, excellent host, very knowledgeable about surrounding area's history, house itself has a lot of history and very nice amenities. Special notes: host also has complimentary port and sherry in a very cosy lounge, wine and beer is available at reasonable prices, Free massage chair, and there are also a lot of home made jams and preserves available to buy. House is right next to a long wharf if you like your fishing. 10mins from port Arthur.

Room Tip: The Garden room is the best room of the house, very spacious, with its own lounge and extra beds, an...

We stayed here on 15th and 16th November. It's in a quiet location on the bay with a short jetty opposite. The Laurel suite was well appointed and met our needs. The continental breakfast brought back memories my Great Aunt's farm in the country 45 years ago. Three varieties of home baked bread, fruit compote, preserved plums, stewed apple, cereals, wheatgerm, oatbran, home made jams, and the unobtrusive Lynton there to cook homegrown cackleberries if you desired. Well done Lynton and Lorella. We enjoyed our stay. We had an evening meal at the Fox and Hounds 10 minutes away near the entrance to Port Arthur. Although a tourist coach full of people were there, our meals were served promptly. It was good value for pub type meals.

Room Tip: I wanted the garden room, but it had been booked. The Laurel room was quite OK anyway. They're a...

I have not long since returned home from spending four amazing days exploring the sights and surrounds of Taranna and Port Arthur with my sister and mother. When we drove into the grounds of the Norfolk Bay Convict Station we were met by beautiful gardens and manicured lawns and a stunning old building that was our accommodation overlooking Norfolk Bay. As we stepped foot in the door of the historical B&B our host Lorella was there to greet us with a smile and she could not have made us feel more welcome after our flight from Sydney and drive down from Hobart Airport. We just loved Lynton’s freshly baked bread and its aroma that swept the corridors late each night, ready to be served at breakfast the next morning. Lorella’s home made jams were so scrumdiddlyumptious that we bought some to take home with us. The complimentary port in the study by an open fire was always the perfect nightcap to top off a perfect day. We were looked after really well and just loved the complimentary massage chair that was conveniently located outside our Garden Room suite. Location was tranquil that at night you could hear a pin drop and because the skies were clear on our stay we were fortunate to see the stars stretch on for miles above the water. When eating out there isn't a varied choice of nearby restaurants unfortunately and if you do prefer to eat in, there is a barbecue on the premises and I'm sure if given the right amount of notice that your lovely hosts will whip you up a home cooked meal. So a big thank you to Lorella and Lynton for helping make our stay a most memorable and pleasurable one. We're still on a high from our trip so 'we'll be back' :)

My wife and I stayed one night on the way to Port Arthur. Location is right on the water. Room was comfortable and the great continental breakfast with home made bread and jams was excellent. Highly recommended.
