“Lovely people and loved the Old Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

So the only real con was inconsistent wifi but hey...get out of the room and explore the fab Old Town which I loved. The owner, his son and wife are adorable and so helpful. They had the best smiles of anyone I have ever met so far on my backpacking tour. It was a pleasure to stay here. Only 10mins to old town and close to bus station for patong beach and airport. Can I also say thanks to the person who cleaned our room each day. She have us clean towels, new water, folded all our stuff and it really kept the room clean and a pleasure to come back to.
Would stay here again if in the Old Town!

The family that own and run the place are the sweetest people ever. They are also very helpful and happy to help and are always around. Our room was cleaned daily and was comfortable for two sharing. Brand new looking air conditioning unit in room which worked well. Close to old town, about a 5-10 min walk. Walkable with big backpack to bus station for airport and close enough to buses if you want a day at the beach.

The wifi was a little slow at times but otherwise worked well. Because tiled floors, if people in room above move things around on the floor it's loud for the room below. No hot water shower which I felt was the only real down point of this place but it's ok for a few days.

Would stay again and would recommend.

What an amazingly friendly people. We stayed there for 4 nights but would have love to stay some more. After a long night in the bus from bkk to phuket the room was allready ready for us at 9 am, this was great cause we where super tired. The family that own's and also run's the place are there for you to give you tips and help you 24/7. We wanted to really discover the more local places then to visit the tourist atractions and they gave us loads of good tips. We will definetly go back!

We have been made most welcome. There is someone nice at the front desk 24/7, so the place is secure. Nothing is too much trouble. Shopping malls and restaurants intersperse exotic local shops. Beaches are about an hour away by local bus which costs 35 baht. Good value and a pleasant experience.

Welcoming staff, the location is good but the room is very basic considering it was sold as a superior there is nothing superior about it unless you count a window as making a room superior.
Bathroom tired and small (a bit like my husband!!)
The information on Booking.com is incorrect it says there is cable TV in the bedroom but there isn't it just has 6 Thai speaking channels (not much good when we had a cyclone for two days)

Room Tip: There is no lift so if unfit or traveling with heavy cases ask for a lower floor room

I stayed here with 6 other friends/siblings for three days over my birthday weekend before going to phi phi. The rooms were above average and had all the standard facilities needed, however the main thing that made our stay so enjoyable was the friendly staff. They were more than happy when my family greeted me with messy party poppers and cake on my birthday, and they would often sit down and talk to us about all the wonders of the local area and beyond. All in all, they were happy to go the extra mile, and we had a lovely stay.

This hotel offers you the basic commodities; a bed, shower, bathroom, TV, WiFi and ability to get some drinks in the lobby. Just outside the hotel is a bus stop in case you wish to take your towel and get away to either Patong or Karon beach (do note that these are 1+ hour away!).

What makes this hotel exceptional is it's staff. The two main people running the show are father and son (perhaps the mother as well) and they deserve every hospitality medal there is to get.
I had no idea what to do in Phuket but feel like a seasoned commuter there after my visit. The son helped me with maps, where to go, bus stops, price estimates and even after-checkout service that you can't put a price on. As I can't thank these guys enough, I really hope that the next person who reads this review makes a booking there and enjoy the same hospitality I did.
