“Very nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

We stayed at Route 86 5 nights during our time in phuket town and really recommend the guesthouse to everybody who's not keen on spending a lot of money but wants to stay in the city centre.
Especially Tik, the owner is very nice and gives a lot of advices about activities and traveling on.
The room was pretty small (twin) and with shared bathroom and warm shower, but the room for 3 people was very large.
Recommend that to everybody!
Have a nice time there, Nico and Linus

Nice little bar. Grabbed a few beers and drinks here and we really recommend it for that. Big plus that they have something else than just the usual Thai beer, here you can grab a hoegaarden or a paulaner or even a London pride! Not bad! Cocktails were good also.

A really relaxed place to hangout and enjoy a Phuket Beer (great beer !) or a cocktail. Usually live music ( blues / jazz ) including an open stage , so get up there and do it !. The owner is a very cool and interesting guy. The whole street is very laid back with fantastic Sinoportugese architecture. Well worth a visit.

This was our late night refuge when nothing else seemed to be open. A little retro cafe where you can grab a quick meal and hear some live music. Small, friendly, with reasonable prices. As much of Thalang Road is closed late at night , Route 68 is a good place to hang out. We did feel a little out of place though, being in the 50 and over bracket, much of the crowd were young back packers and in groups of 6-8 happy travelers I do believe there are rooms to rent. Would definitely go back again, if only to show our friends this quaint little place in old town.

Cool & friendly "Route 68" is an Hostel/Restaurant/Bar located right in the heart of the historical so-called "Old Phuket Town" (Sino-Portugese style building, and numerous small local businesses, cafe & restaurant and boutique alike).

The decor of Route68 is an impressive collection of "antiques" owned by the patron Pol Route (after whom the place was named
after-located 68 Thalang Road).
Friendly atmosphere, tasty food
(Thai and continental food) at price.
N.B: Live music every Wed & Sun.
