“Black Ginger- who pays the ferryman?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

we were taken across the water by the ferry man and were given a taster by a passing junk. It is ver atmospheric. Subtle lighting and flaming torches. The food was aThai buffet with inclusive wine by the glass. You sit in an air conditioned restaurant but go out onto the balcony to choose your food. There isThai music.
The loos are great HM the Queen indicating the ladies and Chairman Mao the gents!
It was a special evening and when we were finished the ferryman took us back across the water to reality. It was expensive by Thai standards at £30 per head but wines was included and wine is very expansive in Thailand. A memorable evening

“Food fit for royalty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

The kitchen here has cooked for the King and Queen of Thailand- when asked what the menu was for them we were advised -" exactly what you are seeing now".
Enough Said- it was a night we'll never forget

“Nice For That Special Occassion”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We went there as a treat on the recommendation of my Daughter who had previously stayed at the Black Pearl. The food was nice and the entrance l to the restaurant across the lagoon is impressive. This is a lovely setting for a special occasion otherwise for me al fresco on the beach.
