“Excellent Customer Service & Knowledgeable Guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Our Phuket Adventures tour was booked through our hotel for my husband and myself. We took the Phang Nga Bay 4 in 1 Speedboat Tour. We had a superb experience with the other guest; there was a total of 25 guest in all. By the end of the trip, our group was no longer guest...we were like family. Our guide Tuk Tuk was FABULOUS!!! He was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of. One of young ladies on our trip lost her hat due to the wind from being on a speedboat; Tuk Tuk had the driver to turn around the speedboat and go back to fetch the lady's hat from the sea. Now, that is service with a smile! During our tour, we saw the limestone cliffs cascading from the sea. We also did island cave exploring, sea kayaking, visited James Bond Island, ate & visited a sea gypsies village and lastly soaked up some sun on a beach (all in one day). The Phuket Adventures Phang Nga Bay Tour is an item to add to anyone's Bucket List.

“Company felt unsafe and unprofessional”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

We'd booked a trip via the Hotelbeds rep to go to see James Bond Island on a large speedboat (quicket way to get there). Had been told beforehand by the rep that if the weather was bad it would be cancelled and we'd have chance to rebook. On the day the weather was a bit rainy but brightened up once we got out on the boat. The boat seemed a bit old but in ok condition, although we weren't given lifejackets to wear and there was no real safety briefing - we were just given a card to read. Whilst out on the water the weather turned bad and the sea became extremely rough. We were due to go snorkelling and this went ahead despite the conditions. Several people including me got into trouble in the water and the crew didn't seem to be keeping an eye on us. My friends had to yell at the crew to rescue me and some others but in the end a fellow passenger threw a lifevest to me. Couldn't believe they even let us go into the water in the first place and didn't provide any safety aides. The boat then went to a couple more places but the sea got even rougher and thr boat (and us) were bouncing all over the place. People were screaming but the crew seemed unfazed by it all. I don't believe the boat should have gone out in those conditions and thy put people's lives ar risk. Would not recommend to anyone.

“Enjoyable trips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

My partner and Signed up for the James Bond Island tour via our Virgin Travel agent. On the day we had to get up and be in the hotel lobby for pick up at 6:40, an ungodly hour, to make matters worse I had a bad stomach. When we got to the marina and Phuket Adventures office I was feeling horse, my partner told them that I simply could not go, we fully accepted that we would lose our money giving no notice whatsoever, but they very kindly asked if we would like to go the next day (we had booked another trip with them in 2 days time so would have to be the next day), no extra charge, no lost money, they even drove us back to our hotel.

So the next day we went on the trip, and the day after that we went on the Phi Phi island tour. On both days we had the guide called Tuk Tuk, who we found to be very informative and very funny. I honestly cannot understand where other reviewers have got the impression that the tots were not good or the staff not good. We found the staff very attentive, very helpful and friendly. The tours were amazing, the scenery was breath taking and we felt that it was good value for money.

We had enough time at all the stops, in fact on the first tour we went on a couple kept the driver waiting 40 minutes (good customer service, I would have driven off) but Tuk Tuk and the team did not shorten any of our stops or trip, in fact they risked their boat as had to drive very fast on way back to hit the tide.

I cannot imagine why other reviewers felt their experience was to a good one, unless Phuket Adventures have improved a great deal, we had two fantastic if tiring days.

“A day well spent!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We were picked up from our hotel in a mini bus and left in time. We went to the Marina from where our group took a speed boat to Phang nga bay. My first time experience in a speed boat was amazing. Our day was packed with a whole lot of things which included canoing and that too in the rains. The most wonderful experience. There were lot of photo sessions in the James Bond Island. We went thru mangroves and also a Muslim village, also known as the floating village, which had its own mosque and school and also a bazaar. The entire tour was a treat to our eyes. Our tour guide, John, kept us in good spirit throughout the tour. A day well spent and went to bed thinking about the entire day.

“Great experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We had a great day with this group. This trip is a great way to do many things in one day, and see a large number of locations in tye Andaman Sea, just east of Phuket.
We left on time, motored out to James Bond island ( geologically beautiful, aside from the unfortunate marketplace on the back side of the island, but where there is demand for cheap tourist trinkets, someone will supply them ), then to the canoeing adventure (amazing to have someone canoe my wife and it along and through the cliffs rising out of the water, into secret and quiet light shafts which open up to the sky).
After that we stopped for lunch at a floating market/village ( tasty food, ceiling fans, shade, and a nice breeze... Here again, we were encouraged to spend a little cash on the tiny little shops, all selling some kind of pearl jewelry, sarongs, or other light clothing. But the merchants were not pushy/aggressive.)
The next two stops were a cave walk on an island (where we got to feed some local monkeys. The cave had a few nice stalagtites, and the monkeys were a nice plus.), and finally our boat pulled up to a beach on the east side of Naka island, where there is a thatched roof bar with some techno music. It did start to rain a bit, so the bar was a nice place to get out of the rain. After the short rain shower, we wandered into the bath-like water, and enjoyed nature's version of hydrotherapy, floating on our backs, or bobbing up and down in the shallow water.
On the beach, tourists from a couple different boats, along with some of the guides, started a game of pickup soccer. There were Russians, Brits, Indians, Thais, and middle easterners all coming together to have a little fun and excise before we had to get back on the boat to get home.

The boats and engines ran well, the staff was attentive, no issues at all.
